32/33 Arrived Alive
My local pond store is selling these for $5 each so I decided to take a chance on Imperial Tropicals. So far, I'm very happy because of 33 snails that were mostly in the 0.5 - 0.75-inch range, 32 attached themselves to the sides of the large bowl I used to acclimate them for a few hours before release. The one shell appears empty but, in case the "door" is farther in the shell than I can see, I put it in the pond, anyway. At least it's pretty. There were also 10-12 babies in the bag, about 2-3mm all of them sticking to the bowl so, alive. My only concern was that I met the mail carrier at the door, opened the insulated box immediately and the warm temperature of the water was surprising; probably 75-80, the warmest temperature of the day in my area. The snails had to get used to a cool 70 but, they don't seem to mind. If they're all dead tomorrow morning, I'll be back here to tell the tale.

Will buy from this seller again!!!
I had questions, they were answered right away. I order from Amazon all the time and I’ve never taken the time to leave a comment, but this seller definitely deserves it. Package came quick and they were packages very well. All snails are thriving in their quarantine tank. We even have some babies. The picture will show you they are all on the bottom because they were just fed. Very pleased, I will order from this seller again! 🙂

Not good for a koi pond
On the seller's listing, it states that snails are "compatible with most fish".I ordered 30 snails. They arrived in a couple days and all appeared to be alive. Most were very tiny.I floated the bag with the snails in the small pond for a couple hours to acclimate, then released them in a shallow spot where I could observe them.Within minutes the koi found them and ate the smaller ones leaving around 8 of the larger ones.Seller claimed the koi would not eat the snails, and that I simply could not see them because they were camoflauged. After a week the remaining snails had not moved. I asked the seller when I should expect them to move, and was told that they should have been moving within a couple days.Seller eventually offered a 50% refund, and I felt I should get a full refund since their site state the snails should be compatible with most fish, yet my fish ate them. After about two weeks of back and forth emails, I made a claim with Amazon and received a full refund. Remaining snails still have not moved.

All arrived alive.
I bought this for a small 2000 gallon + pond and even though I need about 60+ more they have done a great job cleaning up. The only concern I had is with the shipping. I don't believe this is the sellers problem but they shipped from Florida and I live in Georgia.. The shipment took much longer than I thought it should and was worried that the snails wouldn't survive.

Love!
Got what I asked for and more…..10-15 babies and now when I clean out my pond I have to check for babies in the debris!

One order seems to yield plenty of snails for a 1000 gallon pond.
I am very impressed with these snails from Imperial Tropicals. They arrive in a nicely contained foam protected box and the snails are healthy and do a great job. Unless you have a huge pond on order of 30 is all you need. These snails bear live young and before long you’ll have plenty of these little algae eaters working to keep your water in great shape.
