A top tier braided line that you can't go wrong with.
In my fishing experience, I rely on just two main braided lines, and Daiwa X8 braid is one of my top choices. I typically switch between these two brands depending on which one offers the best price at the time. The Daiwa 8 strand braid stands out because it feels very smooth and produces less noise as it passes through the guides on the fishing rod, compared to other lines. It is more flexible than 4 strand braids, which can make knot tying a bit more challenging for some, but I believe the benefits make it worthwhile. Another advantage of this braid is its color retention; it holds its color much longer than budget lines, which often fade or bleed after just a few weeks of use. I suggest choosing the brighter color options, as they make it easier to follow your line in the water. Pairing the braid with a quality fluorocarbon leader helps keep the line invisible to fish. Using a reliable braided line like Daiwa J-Braid X8 is important because you want to avoid the risk of line breakage, especially when you have a large fish on the hook. Overall, I recommend sticking with trusted brands, and Daiwa J-Braid X8 is definitely a top contender in my opinion.

PRICE, SPOOL FOR SPOOL MUCH CHEAPER. IF THERE WAS SOMETHING BETTER I WOULD BE USING IT
GREAT LINE, CAST WELL, DURABLE, CHEAT WHEN COMPARED TO MONO OR FLORACARBON, MUCH MORE SENSITIVE THAN THOSE AND I HAVE SOME BRAIDED LINES THAT I FISHED WITH 5 OR MORE YEARS, NEVER BROKEN A FISH OFF. GUARANTEE YOU MONO WON'T COME CLOSE - MORE TIME TO FISH WITH CONFIDENCE, NO TIME WAISTED RE-SPOOLING. I FISH COMPETITIVELY AND WIN ENOUGHT TO PAY FOR MY HOBBIE.

IT SURVIVES ROCK FISHING FROM SHORE
I have this at 50lbs on my Daiwa Zillion TW HD baitcasting reel and Daiwa Proteus inshore rod. This thing performs amazingly and cast a mile (not in literal term but you get it). It is smooth, it retains it's color for the most part and it is strong. As the title states, I used this specific one for rock fishing. The abrasion resistance on this line is second to none in my opinion. The fact that it can withstand rubbing on sharp rocks when I'm fishing is remarkable. I have yet to break any line and for the price, it's quite hard to beat.If you're looking for a great fishing line from a reputable manufacturer that won't break easily, cast a country mile, cast smoothly and won't break your bank? Then I highly recommend for you to take a close look at these Daiwa J Braid X8 Grand.

Fish with peace of mind!
The Good:- Strong- Very smooth- Lighter than other braids of similar strength for further casting- Looks very sleek on darker colored reelsThe Bad:- The color has already slightly faded after just a few usesNotes:Definitely noticed an extra 10+ yards of casting distance over another well known brand of braid. Have already reeled in some 22”+ fish with no issues.

Really slick and thin.
Great fishing line for my Shimano Sahara reels (6). I’m averaging about 5’ longer casts. This line is really slick and passes through the guides effortlessly. Highly recommend.
