My husband had eye surgery and needed cold packs for several days. He needed 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off while awake. We bought three of these and they have worked very well. He finds them comfortable and the Velcro tie works well. With three, we’ve been able to refreeze them, rotate each in our fridge and have continuous cold packs ready. The small round gel pieces allow my husband flexibility for a good fit even just out of our freezer.

Great for any discomfort in your eyes. The reviews that say otherwise are strange to me, I have not found any of those comments to be true at all. It may not hold heat or cold as long as you'd prefer it to, however, that's the same for almost any product like this. Your body heat will counteract the temperature of the mask. Personally, I have frozen it and used it, and works very well since I find the cold more soothing when I'm in pain or discomfort. Heat will taper off fairly quickly as it is not in a sealed environment. It's meant to be a palliative measure. I love it, and it's so soft, especially with the gel displacing the proper amount of pressure on your sensitive eyelids. Works for me and I am very happy I gave it a try. The storage pouch is perfect for my dresser to keep it clean since pet hair gets on all my clothes lol Don't believe the anti-hype, just don't overheat it, put it in the freezer if you prefer or just use it at room temperature. Highly recommended!
