Hate to Love
I had purchased two contour memory pillows first. They weren't what I expected so I decided to try these instead. A little background: I have a large head and it's heavy. I am what you call a pillow hammer. I destroy pillows like it is my job. I can seriously flatten a memory foam pillow in seconds to almost 1/2" thickness when it probably started around 4". Needless to say, I was upset at first with these pillows because they were way too firm. My neck felt strained and I wasn't getting good sleep so I reverted back to my contour memory pillows for a week after purchasing these. A few days after realizing those memory foam pillows were now completely useless as I might as well sleep without a pillow, I decided to try these again. I haven't looked back after a month. They softened up a little which is great because the strain in my neck went away. They are so well made that instantly when I wake up and make my bed, the pillows are completely full again as if new instead of destroyed which I am used to. I only give it 4 stars for now because I want to test its durability in the long term.

Best down/feather alternative I've found
I'm a VERY picky pillow shopper. I've tried dozens of pillows. My favorite are down or feather pillows but those are rarer these days and for really good ones the prices can be shocking. So I got one of these to try it out.It is Primaloft. You can tell after about 30 seconds when you put you head on a pillow that it's synthetic. It feels warmer than down/feathers and there is something about it that generally feels unnatural to me. For this particular pillow I still feel the warmness and some amount of artificiality, but it's not enough to bother me or keep me from falling asleep. So I can tell it's not a natural product but it's [barely] acceptable. Definitely more for side sleepers as at least in the firm one I got, it does stay puffed fairly well.So as of right now I have a down/feather pillow and this one.

Good down alternative pillow
I mistakenly purchased this pillow, I thought I was getting a down/feather pillow but after looking at so many pillows I got mixed up & purchased this. I honestly didn't realize it wasn't down until I got online to review it, about 3 weeks after purchase.I am a die-hard feather/down fan but this pillow might be the one to change my mind! I was very surprised at it's firmness, it definitely is firmer than any overstuffed natural pillow but it isn't as bad as the usual synthetic firm pillow usually is. It still has some of that 'give' & 'bunch-ability' that a feather pillow has. It is an excellent copy of what I love in a feather pillow with a little more substance, it seems like it will keep it's density over the long term.I am usually a stomach sleeper. This pillow is probably more for a side sleeper. I have actually woke up on my side a couple of times now that I have this pillow & it is very comfortable for that position.I am not sure I will buy again, I really prefer the idea of using natural products but this is a very viable option, especially if the prices of feather & down keep going up!

So Far, So Good
I have a confession to make: my head destroys pillows. I'm not sure why; I do sweat quite a bit while sleeping, and perhaps my perspiration is made of some substance akin to hydrochloric acid. In any case, my pillows tend to shrink down to a thin strip of foam within a month or two regardless of what kind of pillow it was to start with. However, I am happy to report that this pillow has, at least so far, help up nicely. I am cautiously optimistic about this being the pillow that actually lasts longer than a few months without a need to replace it.It has a nice amount of firmness and fullness, and although I am generally a side sleeper, it's not so huge that it tilts my neck in a damaging position. The fact is that I have usually picked up whatever pillow is available at a big box store while strolling through. The investment in this decent pillow has seemed very worthwhile so far. If anything, this pillow has become more comfortable as I've owned it and it's settled into my head shape and sleeping position. No complaints.

This is a nice pillow. It feels like quality construction
This is a nice pillow. It feels like quality construction. I actually have two of them. One is a little over a year old, and the other is a month old. Over the course of a year, the pillows go from very full and poofy to moderately full. I actually prefer the way the pillow feels after a year of use to the overfull way it was at first. Brand new: good for side sleeping. One year old: good for back or stomach sleeping.A nice thing about these pillows is that they are not as warm as some pillows. They aren't actually cool, but they don't make my head feel hot, either.Unless they fall apart or get completely compressed, I expect to purchase another of these pillows next time I need one.Four stars instead of five because they do change quite a bit over the course of a year. But maybe that's unavoidable with pillows.

Great Quality - Poor Fill
This is a very well constructed pillow. However, I would highly suggest the seller change the tag and the description to read SOFT instead of FIRM. I love a cushy but supportive pillow and this is not it. The pillow is definitely well constructed and of good quality. I was impressed with the extra zip cover it came in. I ordered two pillows - and both by husband and I agreed after only one night they had to be returned. We promptly returned the next day. The pillow is really full when you aren't laying on it - and bounces right back when you raise your head but when you are lying down your head sinks too far in and your neck is put in a very poor position causing strain and pain. We both had neck pain the next morning and were not impressed with the performance of the pillow at all. It really is a shame because it is really a nice looking pillow but it definitely shouldn't be classified as firm... and I usually use a medium to firm pillow. We even tried stacking the two together but that just raises your head up too far and does no good. This pillow needs MUCH MORE fill. I do not suggest purchasing this pillow if you require any type of neck support.
