Fireman Sam - Figurines Double Pack (Sam & Penny) [Amazon Exclusive]

Not sure why these are getting such negative reviews. Yes, there are some small paint errors, but these are no worse than many other action figures like this. These are clearly toys, not collectors items. They're reasonably well constructed action figures about 2 1/2 inches tall. As a comparison, these are about the same height as figures in the Imaginext line, but a little less chunky, and probably less well-made. This actually makes these quite compatible with Imaginext and by just testing a few accessories I was easily able to get Sam to hold an Imaginext sword and an Imaginext figure to hold one of the accessories that came with this. That makes these figures a great buy if your kids have any Imaginext figures as they can mix and match accessories to some extent. Even if they don't know Fireman Sam, this set and the other two that go with it, could make a nice set of pseudo-Imaginext firemen.If your kids do like Fireman Sam, then obviously this is a great set. If you're a prime member then the Fireman Sam episodes and movies are available to stream so this set fits nicely with that. Really, of course, that's the intent seeing as Amazon set-up an exclusive deal to market the Fireman Sam line in 2104, but this is a great way of bringing an entertaining, toddler friendly British TV show to the US, and kudos to Amazon for doing that.I was able to get this set and the other two for around $6-7 each so keep an eye on the prices as they fluctuate.

Cheaply-made figurines. The limbs are fully articulated, which I like, and they have decent detailing - but the feel of them is very lightweight, rubbery, and cheap. The hats don't stay on, for example, because they're more like a sillicone baking cup than a hard plastic (like a lego hat) - and that's just annoying.I bought these are a supplement to the Fireman Sam fire house (which was not cheap but is pretty nasty quality) and my 3 year old will enjoy playing with them, but I doubt they will last the year and I will not knowingly purchase anything else from this manufacturer.

I purchased these for my Fireman Sam addict. He wanted a Fireman Sam Birthday cake and Sam toys -I thought this would kill 2 birds with 1 stone. The problem with these is the small parts get lost incredibly easy. The hats are not fixed so basically, a child will lose all of the accessories and just have the figurines. If your child is responsible, you may be able to keep the accessories in one place but my child was not. The hats are also not a tight fit so they easily come off.

My boys are cray cray for Fireman Sam!!! So they love these!!! I will say the pieces that accompany the figurines (helmets, extinguishers, axes, etc) I have hidden away because they are really really really tiny, and I'm afraid my dog, or even one of my sons might be tempted to put it in their mouth. Other than that, overall I'm pleased.

I was surprised by the amount of articulation on these little figures! Their wrists and heads turn, as well as the arms being able to swivel at the shoulder. My son adores them. My one complaint is that the little hats don't stay on the heads well at all. I had to glue on Penny's hat, and we put Sam's tiny hat away because it would undoubtedly get lost.Really impressed by the quality of these, though.

These were okay. The little pieces got lost quickly and the hats do not stay on well at all - my sons both became frustrated with the hats. The main positive point that I can mention is that the are characters from the Fireman Sam show - therefore they were well received by my little guys.

Great figures for a great price. These are hard to find in the USA so I snapped them up when I found them. Very realistic moving parts and lots of accessories. Make sure you have a tub handy to keep the extra parts in so they do not get lost.. My boys had hours of fun with these figures!

My three-year-old daughter loves these. Yes, they're small - perfect for carrying around in pockets, etc. Thrilled that there are well-priced Fireman Sam items available in the US!
