Beurer Bf 700 Diagnostic Bathroom Scales With Bluetooth Smart And Health Manager

These scales were a Which Best Buy which is why I bought them a year ago. I was cruelly deceived. The scales are not reliable. I was the second user linked to the scales and every time I used them I had to take 2 or 3 readings per session to see if the scales would settle on one figure – they can vary up to 4 or 5 ibs. The first user now has the same problem. On top of that the Bluetooth connection to the app is not reliable. Functionality is all very well but in the end reliability is far more important. Go for something simpler but accurate.

L'appli est très lente et bugge en permanence.La balance limite ses fonctionnalités à la mesure du poids tant que l'on n'a pas accepté de transmettre toutes nos données via l'appli. Le comble est qu'il faut autant d'applis installées que la balance n'accepte de personnes.Comprenez que si quelqu'un de nouveau essaie la balance elle n'acceptera que d'afficher le poids.Si on souhaite l'utiliser comme balance classique sans appli, la balance finira par refuser d'afficher le poids au bout d'un certain nombre de mesures ! L'excuse utilisée est que la mémoire est pleine et qu'il faut se connecter à l'appli pour la vider ! Tout est pensé pour récupérer les données de l'utilisateur (contre son gré).Enfin je n'ai aucune confiance en la qualité des mesures : en déplaçant la balance (sur des surfaces planes et rigides) je peux observer des différences de mesure jusqu'à 5 kgs (Je pèse 69kg puis 74kg 30 secondes plus tard).C'est une honte. À se demander si le service ne frise pas l'illégalité (loi contre l'obsolescence programmée ? car la balance se bloque exprès au bout d'un moment ; règles de protection des données ? car c'est pensé pour forcer le client à les transmettre)

Like other users here, I bought this on the strength of the Which? Best Buy review, and regret not reading the reviews here on Amazon.Getting the full functionality of the device depends on the scales syncing with Beurer's app. It initially accepted my data, and my initials appeared on the screen of the scales. However, on carpet, it gives you a nonsense reading, and now won't seem to match my real weight to me. I've just spend a very frustrating hour and a half trying to get these to work, and neither will. The app won't go beyond the screen for telling it which model of scale you have. When I stand on the scales they come on and give me a weight reading then just turn off again. The reason I bought these expensive scales is for the additional features like BMI and fat/water/muscle percentages, none of which it will give me. Even the weight reading varies, presumably depending hw you stand on the scales: there is always some variation in the readings, but attempts minutes apart the reading varied by two Pounds.For one of other of the scales and app to be not working right might seem to be teething problems, but for neither to be working (on there own, never mind communicating with each other. This suggests a seriously flawed product.I've tried resetting the scales with the reset button, installing and reinstalling the app on the phone, trying with a new email/log-in

Ce que je n'admets pas c'est de devoir accorder à cette application tous ces droits :- Accès à l'historique de l'appareil et des applis- Contacts- Position- SMS- Photos/multimédia/fichiers- Caméra- Identification de l'appareil et infos appelOu vont ensuite toutes ces informations ... ?Du coup je me retrouve avec une simple balance

Arrived well packaged. Looks good and robust. Basic set up to measure weight straightforward. Display clear. Took a while to get used to just standing on it to activate as our previous set of electronic scales had switches to touch to select the user. If set up properly it automatically assigns weight and other measurements to the user name whose last measurements were closest to the new one.BEWARE! Other than reading weight from the display you will need a mobile phone to set up and activate other features and download the results. Why this model has a good WHICH recommendation is puzzling because not only does it require using a mobile, it will only work with certain brands of mobile phone and then only certain versions of their operating system. Only works for Android and Apple phones. No software available to use a laptop instead. Does not work with Microsoft Windows phones. Refuses to work with my Samsung Android phone because I haven't yet been conned into buying the latest model and still happily using one more than a year old.Think beforehand before setting up, assuming it will work with your mobile phone version, about which main account you are going to use and the relevant email address so that you input that person's details first and get them to weigh themselves first before adding any additional users. We are still struggling with that bit as there is no easy way to clear user and start again without losing all your data.Time that governments took some responsibility and forced manufacturers to produce goods compatible with all potential third party equipment. In this instance I see no reason why they have produced software for bluetooth communication that cannot be accessed by any bluetooth enabled phone or computer. Shame as otherwise it would be a great piece of equipment.
