Amazing superfood for active lifestyles!
"Dear Tsampa, where have you been my whole life? I've recently discovered you and I have to say, wow!" Great flavor, high energy grain that keeps me going all day. And with added protein, SherpaMax is the perfect recovery food after a hard workout. Or first thing in the morning with my yogurt. I've also tried the Lhasa flavor which is perfect if you like a sweeter product. I've prepared it with hot water and it has the constancy oatmeal or cream of wheat. Added directly to my morning yogurt and I can climb mountains all day. If this "wonder food" is good enough for Sherpa's, it's more than good enough for me.

Misleading Nomenclature
It's a pleasant cereal that bears scant resemblance to actual Tibetan tsampa. Calling granola tsampa does not make it tsampa, although it does have some better ingredients--including what may be some actual tsampa (in addition to "cane sugar, organic quinoa puffs, whey protein isolate)--than a lot of normally priced granola.

Quite tasty but expensive.
Would have been a 4 star review if the price was lower. Had read an article on the health benefits of tsampa, and barley in general, and decided to give it a try. Proved remarkably difficult to find anywhere selling it so perhaps the price is a result of it being such a niche product. Tasty enough and supposedly very healthy but at about 2 or 3 times the cost of similar hot cereals it's not likely to replace oatmeal as my daily winter breakfast. Package is quite small and probably only has around 5 or 6 servings.

Nice hot cereal
Just had to try it after reading "Across Many Mountains". It seems to be a staple for the Tibetans but I am sure they don't have to pay as much and we do here. Pretty expensive for the amount sent. Not too sure I would put it into tea.

Delicious, nutritious, filling and energizing
Delicious, nutritious, filling and energizing. Quick and easy to mix - 5 tablespoons and some hot water and it's ready to go. I really like the base flavor of the barley, but I also like to add just a few berries for some extra flavor, a little granola (and maybe a few nuts) for some extra crunch, and a little soy milk for some extra protein. That makes a full meal that keeps me going for hours. Great stuff.

Great cereal, premium price
Excellent product, great flavor, easy to make. The 4 star is simply b/c it's very expensive, so it's more of a treat than a staple.

I was pleasantly surprised with the great taste! No sugar or additives needed for great taste and the Tsampa is completely filling. Great way to start the day and to stay healthy. I have tried a few of the Great Himalaya products and they are excellent. Would highly recommend.

Doesn't taste like Tsampa...
Although, it was very nice, tasty and great energy booster, it does not taste AT ALL, like Tsampa. So, from that perspective, I was quite disappointed.
