Rod Desyne Heavy Duty Adjustable Double Traverse Rod, 66 x 120

I hate vertical blinds. They are more fitting for rentals than a home. They have no warmth or "hominess" and the blinds break easily. So I concocted a vision to have pleated curtains on a transverse rod that would block more of the western sun at dinner, offer some warm in the winter, and make our home more homey.I installed this rod in under 2 hours. One hour was carefully switching the side of cord on each run to the opposite side and changing it from a center pull to a right pull.It took an hour to install it on the wall. Again, carefully measuring and leveling. This does NOT come with mounting hardware, so make sure you buy screws to go into the studs or good anchors that will hold the weight of the rod and the curtains.All of this was done by myself with a drill and basic toolset.The only negative installation issue is that the center mount screw homes are very hard to get to. I had to find a long enough screw driver that would let me come from the top of the rods to screw them.

Very nice curtain rods! I didn't have any trouble putting them up although it did take about two hours from taking down the old single rod to putting up the new double rods. I didn't look at the directions they sent but I could see why some people had trouble, the writing was pretty small, I just "winged it" came out fine.

I installed them fairly quickly. (I am a handyman - I'm not sure the directions were as clear as they could be.) I love these double rods. I can open the blackout curtains and leave the sheer curtains in place to keep some privacy Or open both curtains and let all the sunlight in. Love them. Will buy more of these rods for other rooms in the near future. Quick service/delivery from this company. Nice Job all around!

Rods are pretty good - not extremely sturdy but with the numerous braces between the center rod brace, it is fine. It took me about 4 hours to take down my old single traverse rod and install this double traverse rod by myself and to make things harder, my walls are sheetrock. That was tricky. There are plenty of places to place the curtain hooks/pins - about 3 extra hook holders on each end. The cords are extremely long - too long but can be cut. The drapes and sheers open fairly easily and all in all, they are worth what I paid for them. The drapes and curtains look good when you stand back and look at them - so much better than the 35 year old traverse rod that was there. Thanks - I recommend this item.

Far to difficult to install. I like the finished installation, but it took over four hours and three online videos to figure out what should have been clear in the instructions, where the tiny illustrations and print were near unintelligible.

These work perfectly for my 10 foot front window. I love that I no longer have to push the curtains open or closed every day. The pull strings make life wonderful. I have sheers and black out curtains (a bit on the heavy side) and this curtain rod handles them both with ease. Update - just ordered a second rod for the back, bay window.

The double rod adds versatility to any room

I wanted to love this curtain rod. I brought this to match my contemporary living room decor.the installation is not straight forward and if you are not a pro DIYer you wont get the instructions right in the first go, so Please keep aside 2-3 hrs to install this.But the real challenge started when I started to search curtains for this, Believe me guys this is a trap, You will not find curtains suitable for this rod for less than $80 - $100, on top of that even after paying so much there are like literally no choices and patterns. (I understand few people may budget few hundred $$ for curtains, sorry I am not one of them :( ), quality of rod is fine, price not justified though, I brought it for 30% discount so not huge, but surely cant buy it for listed price.Now I am stuck with this Rod and mediocre curtains in my living room, unfortunately I cannot return it, and its too late to rip it apart and put another one. But Please don't repeat my mistake.

Perfect length, it's adjusts. Works well with my curtains though when I added very heavy curtains the track squeaked a bit as it finishing closing. Still sturdy and I would recommend it.

These double track rods are next to impossible to find. These (I bought 3) were very sturdy and good quality...now if we could just get people to see pleated curtains again.
