RC Controlled Air Combat Laser Battling Motion Helicopter (Assorted Colors)

Nice if it would work.
Bought 3. 1 flew for 30 sec & quit. Another went up 8 feet & came back down like not enough power. The third was erratic and very hard to control. The controller is a great idea but could be better. Swapped controllers from another unit to make one work. Took the other two and exchanged them...thankfully, both of them worked out of the box as they should. Will update on reliability after a month or two of use.

Fairly durable, fun, some issues...
Decent fun little inexpensive helicopter for low budget enthusiasts, it is somewhat durable. not the best for maneuvering though. It definitely does not do well outdoors even with no wind. (but it will go a couple hundred feet straight up in the air easily and the remote easily reaches out at least 200-300 feet before the signal gets lost and the helicopter dies in mid air!) Indoors it makes an awesome cat play toy for about 10 minutes until the battery dies and needs recharging. So I rate it overall a 3 out of 5 stars.Pros: good range, flies well at high altitudes, (I am at 5,300 ft above sea level and it has tons of lift, barely needs any throttle to hover.) and it is a lot of fun to play with.Cons: The tail rotor blade likes to come off in flight after some use and abuse. To fix this, superglue it CAREFULLY to the motor shaft by removing the rotor flipping it upside down and putting a very small drop of superglue in the middle of it and replace it while holding the helicopter upside down so the glue doesn't get inside the electric motor and destroy it. If possible, use super-fine grit sandpaper to scuff the motor shaft as well before gluing and replacing the rotor blade for maximum holding power. You do not want to lose the tail rotor blade because it is one of the few parts propel does not carry a replacement for. (I lost 1 and payed a hard time locating a suitable replacement with no success.) Lastly, the battery does not last long, You will get about 10 minutes of continuous use maximum on a full charge.Summary: Its decent, fun, cheap, and fairly forgiving, but there are better choppers out there. Its good for low-cost entry lever RC flying.

Just got this heli and the motion sensitive controller is difficult to use
It is extremely difficult to get stable flight using the motion sensitive joy stick. There is no reaction to a slow movement of the hand so you end up having to slap it to the right or left to rotate the craft. Almost always you have to adjust the trim before you attempt unrestricted flight. I ended up hovering about an inch from the floor while pushing the trim button to stop the unwanted rotation. Forward flight and backward flight are just as difficult since you have to use the same slap technique to get a response. Flight time seems short, maybe because of all the extra time trimming and adjusting the position of the joystick. You need open space to get used to this type of set up (inside of course). However, I will say it does take a crash very well. That's my opinion for the Propel - Air Combat Laser Battling Motion Controlled Helicopter.A note: 09072021 Well I never did resolve the issues I had with the Heli. In fact I found it so frustrating that I packed it up and shoved it in the closet. I have never purchased another Helicopter and I don't think I will.

the best helicopter!
I bought one of these for mya son at Christmas. It was spectacular! I went back and bought 3 more. One for my other 2 children and to 1 for myself. This thing is terrific fun.Normally such things break in about 1 or 2 hours. This has lasted through a lot of abuse for the past week, as I have a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old.My favorite toy in years!!!

Awesome toy
This thing is so much fun. Takes 30 min to charge and you get about 15 minutes of flight time. The helicopter responds better during the first ten minutes of flight and then the maneuvers lag a little bit as the battery dies. Works outside only if there is zero wind. If there is a breeze, the helicopter will fly, but will travel with the wind and you'll have to chase it. Flying the helicopter takes a little practice but once you become more proficient at flying, the thing really works. Handled crashes well, seems pretty durable and also comes with a bag of spare parts.

Thank God for good return policies
I bought three of these for Christmas presents. All three don't work now. All three worked for a combined total of five or six flights. Now two of them don't have the power to get off the ground. One of them has propeller issues with only one of the props turning. Cheaply and poorly constructed. They're very expensive if you consider six total flights for three units.I will never buy a propel helicopter again. I guess you get what you pay for! Thank God for good return policies.
