OEM quality, or many times, better
Don't get this confused with electrical or friction tape. I've been using it for a couple of years now in making and repairing wiring and wiring harnesses. The protection it gives against friction points is outstanding. Suggestion, always remember where the tag end is. A 1 inch strip is easily torn, but wrap it in 1/2 overlap coverage around a pair or a bundle of anything you want to protect. Then hope you don't have to open it up. It will fight back, hard!. See suggestion above. If successful, the conductor insulation doesn't have much adhesive remaining. The exception is when the wires are pulled taut (too short) after taping will result in black sticky residue, but not excessive. The tape gives the loom integrity. You can do OEM quality work. Photos are of new boat the Hummingbird leads are taped as a bundle, segregated tape at end of split loom. Trolling motor; it came with a generic internal transducer, so I installed an add on. The new transducer lead was wrapped at possible pinch points from tie-raps, then placed in split loommeeting the unused transducer lead (waterproofed) at the motor head.I sent an order of them to an Uncle knowing it would be great on his projects.

What are your expectations?
I don't know what people expect from something like this but they seem to want something else entirely. If you don't know what this stuff is for, don't buy it.This is the modern version of friction tape which was developed in the pre-plastic age to cover uncured rubber electrical "tape" to protect it.It developed a secondary use. It's a sticky (NOT ADHESIVE) fabric for binding and winding instead of using vinyl tape. The level ,of stickiness is a trade off between adhesion and removability. Like a fabric rubber band, in a way. You use it in places you will probably remove it from, but don't want it to do so itself. It doesn't handle hard traffic well - use expensive pro vinyl there. It's not waterproof; very little really is. Use it to wrap bundles of wires or cheap plastic wire loom. Use it to wrap down a taper from the plastic wire loom diameter to the plastic wire diameter so to both control the wire and protect the wire. This is a bundling tool. It ain't plastic electrical tape. Don't down-vote something because you bought the wrong thing. This particular product works just fine.

High Adhesion and Flexibility, Ideal for Automotive Wire Harnessing
This Seigun harness tape impressed me with its high adhesive strength and fabric flexibility, making it well-suited for securing automotive wire looms or organizing drone wiring setups. The matte cloth finish allows for easy handling and rerouting without the stiffness often encountered with cheaper tapes. It maintains adhesion even in moderately high-temperature environments like car engine bays, with no significant peeling or shrinkage after a week of exposure to heat cycles. However, like most fabric tapes, it leaves a sticky residue upon removal, especially if left for extended periods.Overall, an excellent garage essential for DIY automotive wiring or RC builds, but plan ahead if you ever need to remove or redo the work.

Better than bandaids!
I bought this for a restoration job I was doing because I was tired of the shiny electric tape look and this truck was going original. I used two rolls and re-covered all the visible wires on the truck and most of the ones under the dash, with a little left over. Bonus! Being a mechanic I always have cuts and cracks on my hands and with frequent hand washing nothing would stay on my hands for more than an hour or two. Well one day I was putting bandaids on and wrapped the bandaids with this tape and it stayed on all day and through the night, until I removed it. Through hand washing and a shower. So I have no worries about it staying on a wiring harness.

Just what you need for vehicle wire loom harnesses
I was splicing in wires to control the rear lights of my Jeep JK Wrangler as well as other modifications needed for the supplemental braking system I was installing to be controlled by my Class A motorhome. I needed to remove the factory harness taping in a number of areas by necessity and a significant length due to my choice to do the splicing under the passenger seat rather than in the rear lighting fixtures. When I finished with the splicing this tape had just the right tackiness, strength and flexibility to make it easy to re-secure the parts of the looms I had removed tape from.

No need to look for any other brand
This is a long-term review. I had never heard of this brand before buying it, but purchased it based on previous reviews. This stuff is great. I used this to create a complete wiring harness for an old truck I was rebuilding. It has been a year now, under the hood, close to an old oily hot motor, and it still looks and works as good as the day I installed it. I am very pleased! It was so good in that job that I have since used it for a bunch of nonelectrical applications and it worked great in those cases as well. Yes, I have seen a few less expensive listings but honestly, at this price, I see no reason to try any other brand. And, compared to the $10/roll at the BMW and Mercedes dealerships, this is already a bargain!
