Wonderful books for your own child also make great gifts.
We love the National Geographic books. My toddler will flip through them in his own and loves to explore them together. I think they make great theme gifts with accessories like binoculars, telescope, etc. These books are informative and attractive. As a mom I love when my son is gifted with books. He has so.many. toys. Most of which he could quite frankly care less about. He loooooves his books and I love that he gets so much use out of books. These books grow with children so they make wonderful gufts!

Great book for kids just getting into science
I got this book for my 7 year old nephew. He is in first grade and really likes the science class he has at school. I like that this book covers different types of science and can get other books about topics he is interested in. He will need help reading some of the words but I know he will like the simple experiments in the book.

Love the whole series
This is great for 4+. It's maybe a bit beyond 4 year olds and even 5 year olds, but it seems to keep their interest well enough. Some of the descriptions do have vocabulary words that require some more explanation, but that's a good thing. The photography is excellent. With repetition, I think this whole Big Book of... series provides really great early exposure to a bit of deeper explanation of things.

Child’s book with depth
You cannot go wrong with this whole collection. My 2 year old has five of these so far and we plan on acquiring more. The books are much more advanced than I originally thought, but she does great with the pages and is amazed by the content

Great set of mini board books with sturdy carry case!
I received this set of books as a gift for my then-5 year old son. He loves Paw Patrol, as does my 2 year old daughter. They are a really cute set of mini board books in a pretty sturdy cardboard carry case that has a door that closes with velcro. It's held up pretty well now that we've had it two years. At first, he paged through the books and just looked at the pictures, but as he was about halfway through Kindergarten (age 6), he began to use these books to practice his reading and they were great for that. Short sentences, manageable words telling a story that he was interested in. I've now purchased this set for my niece's 3rd birthday after seeing her eyeing these books at our house and wanting to "borrow" them all the time. She is thrilled with having her own set of the books as well.

Nat geo is always a win
Big book, useful information. Son just turned 5, bought our first one from the collection when he was 3. He reads at a higher level, loves to learn about anything STEM. All of these first big books are perfect for him.
