Buy it
I originally purchased a traditional flat/round stool for use in my spa and it was very uncomfortable and left my entire body aching after each work day. I replaced it with this stool and it has been a lifesaver and a career saver. I can now work a full day and not be in pain. The stool itself is wider than expected but very comfy and padded. If you're thinking about it, just buy it and give it a try!

I have ordered 3 in total
Ordered 1 for the Red Light Therapy sessions so I didn’t have to stand for the entire 20 minutes. Then tried it out in my office at the computer desk. Hubs then tried it and fell in love with the chair. He wanted one for his shop because he is working on small engine repairs right now and it really helped with the sciatica that has flared up in the last 2 months. Easy to put together and very sturdy. Varying heights makes it easy to use in many locations.

A really good stool with one exception….
Stool seems well made. It was clean and unused when it arrived, so that was a plus. I found the stool to be comfortable with adequate padding. Wheels worked well (on hardwood floors) and swiveled easily. I took one star off just to bring attention to the fact that this is a wider than standard seat. While the extra size certainly accommodates wider bottoms, ergonomically, it also causes the saddle front portion to be wider as well. I found that the leg spread was a bit too wide. I had a few different people of all shapes and sizes, as well as different physical dexterities sit on it, and all concurred that the front horn was a bit too wide. It really isn’t a defect. I think this stool would be really well suited to someone who is fairly tall with longer legs. (I am 5’6”)

Keep the Box!!!!
Keep the box. You will unpack, put it together easily and think wow, what a bargain, this rolls so well! Then you might sit for a little bit here and there and congratulate yourself on your ergonomic purchase and throw out the box.But the very first time you sit on it to work for even a couple of hours you realize you uncomfortable it is! The seat is too wide and so uncomfortable. Both my husband and I could not sit on it for any extended period of time and for him, he thought a split saddle would be absolutely necessary for his man parts. So, why not return, you ask, because the policy for this item is original packaging! So you can't even buy a new box to return.

VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND COMFORTABLE
I got the white one and really like it. I am 5'5" and at its highest is easy to sit on. It is very very comfortable and firm. It isnt rigid as the shock absorber has a bit of bounce you might say or just enough give to not make you feel your sitting on a standard bar chair...I like that quite well. I'm afraid I might get some transfer on the white from my jeans so just put a towel on when I'm using it. Putting together is a breeze. I changed out the wheels to locking ones so when I'm quilting I can be stationary. I got the 5 piece office chair castors for $21.99. I'm very happy with it.

IMMEDIATE SIGH OF RELIEF!!! Wow.
So for context.... I've been using this amazing stand up desk from UpLift* for 6-8 months now. I love it. But I got their Starling Stool along with it and it *screwed* *my* *body* *up* *BAD*.***THUS I wish I'd found this stool much much sooner.***A friend of mine - in fact my current neighbor - has a stool that resembles this one. Who knows if it's the same brand - this is one of those random sources from China. But! No problem! It's funny how sometimes the out-there Amazon finds beat out the "trusted name brands" by a long shot. Not to bash UpLift - they make tons of great products; I absolutely LOVE my standing desk; and granted, that stool *was* one of their cheaper options. But wow. I pulled this stool out the box, assembled it in *under 90 seconds*, and BAM. I'm in heaven. Already feel my lower back muscles (typically live-wire don't-even-feel-it-anymore level of extreme tension) releasing, and the pain in my tailbone and SITS bones melting away. My spine is straight and things are literally re-adjusting throughout my body. As I write, I've heard a series of little pops and clicks. I'm not being dramatic. Disclaimer - I have some misalignment issues in my body that tend to self-correct often anyways; this stool just seems to be supporting the healing process, rather than extending it.Thank you people-who-made-this-stool. You're a life changer.

It starts out as a nice sit ….
It starts out as a nice sit but after about 15 min. Not so much. I love that it wide. I made this purchase for my art room. It’s perfect for short tasks.
