Been hooked up to my computer since 2023 and its 2025 now. The transfer times leave a bit more to be desired. I don't notice it getting hot. Using as a quick backup of compositions after every hour off work. Very small and love the size. It barely weighs a thing, just don't loose it. I did however upgrade to an SSD usb-c drive. The speed is ridiculous so I won't be going back to this products. Fine if backing up large document, jpgs, mp3/4.

So far so good on recording dashcam and sentry mode on a 2023 Tesla Model 3. Lots of space for lots of footage.

I have a PNY thumb drive for my older laptop. Unlike most flash drives I have purchased, it is still going strong, so I chose PNY again when I needed a second one for my new Surface 7. I thought it would fit the USB-C port. It does not. But it fits the USB-A port. Like my previous PNY thumb drive, it barely sticks out from the side of the laptop, so it doesn't get in the way, and I can leave it attached even when I store my laptop in its sleeve. I hope it will last as long as my previous PNY thumb drive. I may also get the 512 GB. At present 256 GB is plenty of storage. PNY are the only flash drives that last for me and are easy to use.
