Very impressive
Shoots up like crazy! I kept bottoms in the water in shallow saucers first and in 3 days it was ready to be planted. Both roots and shoots looked very healthy. I planted it in my containers with cucumbers, dill, cilantro and parsley to scare away some bugs that dislike it, especially weevils. Growing incredibly fast. And the remaining bulbs are very fresh and tasty, if tasty can be used to describe garlic:-)

A good source of garlic!
I have been growing hard neck garlic for eighteen years, harvesting the bulbs in July and planting the cloves in October. For the first time, this year's harvest was really bad. So.... I am unable to plant the few bulbs harvested for next year's crop. I searched for a source of hard neck bulbs online and decided to order from "Big Tom Callahans Market" on Amazon. The order was promptly sent but a mistake was made with a portion being soft neck bulbs. Replacements were promptly shipped and I am ready to plant this year's crop in October. I recommend this garlic source whether you want it for planting or eating.

Cloves did not grow
I bought 7 "fresh" Siberian garlic bulbs last fall from this seller. When I got them, they were not in good condition and I do not think they were grown in the current year. They were definitely not fresh and pretty dry. I planted about half the cloves that were in the best condition and composted the rest as they were not suitable to eat. They were planted October 1, and some eventually came up, but were quite spindly. This spring all had rotted. Every single one. I have been growing garlic successfully here for 50 years. This seller had to know that the bulbs I was sent were not good quality and probably would not grow. I am very unhappy about this!!

Great quality
I was impressed when I received the 7 garlic bulbs. They all were fresh and firm. I broke them apart and soaked for about 2 hours and they had grown roots that quickly. I planted them and in a few days some of them had already come up. I would definitely purchase again!

It's garlic
About the shipping: Ordered Oct 30th, arrived Nov 6th & planted Nov 7th 2023. Soon as I placed order within a few hours on Oct 30th I received notice it had shipped with tracking number supplied. I began worrying about order when usps tracking number showed no progress in days to follow and just stated usps waiting for package both on Amazon tracking and usps website. Then Nov 2nd finally it was scanned and showed some movement which then arrived in Central NJ Nov 6th so figured I get this out there in case someone else gets similar shipping tracking. Now for the garlic, this is my first time planting garlic so can't comment on the quality or if it is fresh enough for planting. I ordered 7 bulbs & received 7 bulbs. This garlic was described as being siberian hardneck and because I know nothing about varieties out there I cannot say if it is true siberian bulbs but am confident sellers know what they are selling. None looked dry, rotten or crushed when I pulled them apart. Out of the 7 bulbs I got 54 outer cloves and 13 inner smaller ones. I planted all 54 outer and 6 more of the inner ones. Then added 18 more cloves from a different variety of hardnecks to fill rest of my planter box.I dropped them into each pre dug hole and topped everything with about 2" of top dressing. Then lightly sprinkled some fresh grass clippings. Today's CNJ temps are up close to 70 then tomorrow mid 60 but will come down to 50's in the coming days which I will be topping everything with some mulch in coming weeks. Now just have to wait to see what happens with all the work I put into this first time attempt. There is about 15" of saw dust, compost, sand, clay mix that was screened through 1/4" for garlic to grow into on top of planter with another 15" of tree trimmings and card board linings down under.:Editing to try and get pics in order of progress. Fencing covering bed is being used to keep squirrels from digging and will be used to hold down leaves from blowing when they are added.Nov18th edit: out of 78 cloves planted I've got my first sprout. I've added more top cover of mowed over leaves, fresh grass clippings and wood stove ash.Dec11th update edit: started this planter with 60 of these siberian and added 18 of another type of white hardneck and while I did see quick sprouts I am only seeing 18 sprouts which I'm now guessing are just the other white hardneck. I do not know where they were all placed but it seems right to guess no siberian garlic has yet come up so hoping spring time they will. Been adding mulched leaves in small amounts and will continue to do so as winter hits with colder weather.March 6th 2024 edit: Don't want to leave this review unsettled so here is the progress so far. Today I dug up the final lost sprout which was deep and growing downward, felt like I dug up hundreds of worms trying to find all the missing sprouts (about 20 did not poke through on their own) during these last 10 days or so. So with this last one found I have a total of 78 growing out of 78 total that were started. 100% germination in this bed for both varieties I planted. Now have to wait to harvest time to see the final end result.

Great Garlic, Monster Heads!
My local feed store didn't have garlic this year, so I got this. No regrets and will come back next year for more. The heads were HUGE. I planted them on time for my area and they are all coming up successfully after about 5 days. I'm sold.

Moldy, late, and productive
I have pros and cons.Pros - bumbs are super fragrant. The photo of the bowl is the amount of sets I got from what I could salvage from the package. They are clearly fresh. You can also see in the photo that they are productive. They already have roots growing on some of them.Cons - my package was 10 or so days late. Very frustrating during planting season. No communication about the package. You can also see that there was mold/mildew on several bulbs. The bulbs came in a plastic bag, which clearly had moisture in it. I still got viable bulbs but, lost more than I had planned for.Overall, I would recommend purchasing at least 4 weeks before you plan on planting because of the delays in shipping. I would also prepare to unoackage and dry them out as soon as possible for viability sake.
