Liked it so much I bought another one - UPDATED in 2018
UPDATE on October 27, 2018:I seem to have bought 3 of these straps since 2011. I've lost track of one in the meantime - it may have been on a camera I sold - so I recently ordered another one, this time the polka-dot version. I no longer own the cameras mentioned in my 2011 review and 2012 update. Now one of the straps - black - is on a Panasonic FZ1000, and the new polka-dot one is on a Sony RX100 III. I'm uploading a photo of them. These are sturdy straps. I wouldn't purposely dangle the cameras from the strap, although I've done it as a test (over a well-padded sofa seat). They provide some security when I'm using the camera; if I lose my grip there's a good chance the camera won't crash to the ground.Original review, edited for brevity: I had a neck/shoulder strap on my Olympus XZ-1 I didn't like it. So I ordered this strap. I attached it to my XZ-1 and I like it a lot. This strap feels secure on my wrist when carrying the camera. And unlike the shoulder strap, there's not a long length of strap material to mess with when you're carrying the camera in a bag and reaching in to get it.EDITED on February 19, 2012: Last week I fell for a great deal on the Kodak EasyShare Z990 with 30x Optical Zoom. I got another one of these wrist straps for the new camera, and I like it. Even if a much less substantial strap might hold either of these lightweight digicams, this one is sturdy and comfortable.

Great Strap
Great little strap. It's soft and comfortable and feels very strong. The only improvement I'd make would be a slightly larger quick release clip that's easier to unclip with one hand. This one requires you to get the tips of your fingers on the little prongs and to squeeze very tightly to release. Not too hard to do with two hands, but since you've typically got a camera strapped to the wrist wearing the strap, it can be a bit tough to use both hands at the same time.BUT, these are the same little clips I already have mounted to my camera, which allows me to interchange straps and unclip from a neck strap in order to just use the wrist strap, etc. so I do like that the clips are compatible with other OP/Tech quick disconnect clips. In the end, I rarely switch back and forth between strap setups so I prefer that these little clips are small, unobtrusive, and slightly difficult to unclip because I never fear that my camera will disconnect without a concentrated effort.By the way, two small quick disconnects can fit into a single eyelet on an OM-D E-M10 body without using the stock key ring strap mounts. I feel this is a smoother surface for those little 1.5mm cords to be rotating against all the time.

Op/Tech Camera Strap
Nothing is more frustrating than having your regular camera strap in the way while working from a tripod. That is why I purchased this strap. Not only is it shorter and less likely to get in the way, you can easily detach the strap using the quick release catch further eliminating the problem. I use this on my Canon G9 which though it isn't as small as most point & shot it is a lot smaller the DSLRs and using this strap makes it easier to slip the camera in a big pocket without fussing with a long neck strap. The only hesitation I have is that the material for the strap portion is not made of leather and you don't have that secure feeling knowing your camera is not going to break loose under demanding circumstances. Fear not. this strap is strong enough for my G9 or similar size camera and may even be strong enough for a full size DSLR less any vertical grip attached. This strap is less likely to slip off your wrist and has an adjustment that will give you a tighter fit allowing use of both hands doing something else as long as the hand is in close proximity to the strap of course.OP/TECH USA 1801021 Cam Strap QD- for Compact Cameras and Binoculars -Neoprene (Black)
