I bought this Power adapter to replace the part # 662JT - 7CWK7 that originally shipped with my laptop. The cable connector started crapping out on me after the first year which is when I learned on the Dell forums that part had a history of failing. I found this model which was meant for newer Dells but had compatible power specs including the 4.5mm jack so I gave it a shot. It's been working reliably with my Dell Vostro 7590 130 Watt 6-cell 97WHr battery for 17 months and going. So far it's out lasted my factory original charger. The body style is also smoother and less clunky feeling.

Computer works just fine with it, and because it is utilizing the OneWire communication protocol to identify itself to the laptop, the laptop will also allow it's battery to charge, unlike many aftermarket models.

Tried to save some money and use an off-brand manufacturer. Complete waste of time and money. This one is an original Dell product, and worked great out of the box.

This is a genuine Dell charger and exactly what I was looking for, at a better price than buying from Dell directly. I contacted the seller thinking this item had not arrived. They responded almost instantly and sent another. The dialogue was expedient, helpful, and courteous.The first, "missing" package showed up (I think it was delivered down the road and put in my mailbox by a neighbor at a later date). The second package arrived rapidly. After all this, I will be returning both chargers, as I accidentally bought the wrong Dell model and the port does not match my device.This product is legitimate and the sellers are great to work with.
