Pleasantly amazed!
I was honestly hesitant about buying this bike rack, particularly given the comparatively low price tag. But I couldn't justify spending hundreds on something I only needed a few times a year, especially for a bike that's old enough to vote. Since I drive a Prius hatchback, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find an affordable option that would work with my car – until I found this little gem!PROS:- STORAGE BAG: I love the fact that it comes with a storage bag, to keep it compact and organized when not in use. Without the bag, it would be more challenging to store and transport, particularly with all the straps involved.- EASY TO ASSEMBLE: The instructions are remarkably clear and comprehensible, with options for multiple body types. It took a little bit of study the first time to get it assembled and attached to the car (mainly because I was paranoid about doing it wrong), but from then on, it's a piece of cake.- SURPRISINGLY STURDY: I was wary about the stability of any folding/collapsible model, but when it's snapped into place and strapped to the car, it doesn't budge!– UP TO 2 BIKES: There's room for 2 bikes on this rack, although I've only used it for 1 so far. But I like that I have the option for a second bike.CONS: I only have 2 minor quibbles, but they're not big deals to me, particularly as the rack is so high quality yet affordable otherwise:- STRAP FRICTION: This one is kind of unique to the design of my car than to the bike rack, but worth considering. The straps are your standard heavy-duty ribbed design, which makes them super strong, but it also means that the straps could damage the finish on your car if they're allowed to rest against the body at any points of tension/friction. The design of my car necessitates that they rest at the point where the hatch bends from a gentle slope to being perpendicular with the road, so to avoid wear or friction damage at that point, I simply wrapped that portion of the straps with electrical tape, which seems to have worked great.- NOT AS STRAIGHTFORWARD FOR SLOPING CROSSBARS: If you're transporting a male bicycle with a [nearly] horizontal crossbar, you won't have any issues. But if you have a female bike or one with a heavily sloped crossbar, you're going to have to get creative to keep it from riding too high on the rack to be stable/secure or so low so that one side drags along the ground. There are adaptors you can buy separately to accommodate for this, although I haven't tried any of them personally.CONCLUSION: Well worth the price, and I've actually gotten a lot more use out of it than I'd initially anticipated. Highly recommended!

3,000 mile road trip - Very Satisfied
Excellent quality, especially for the price. As stated in other reviews, the hooks to mount the rack are metal, so I wrapped them in duct tape before mounting. Very easy to unfold and mount. My car is listed as a compatible model; I have the sport trim so one strap did not attach perfectly but I ended up wrapping it around my bike frame before hooking it on my trunk and it actually felt more secure. Folds and unfolds easily and comes with a small backpack to carry or store it in.Survived great on a 5 day, 3,000 mile summer road trip from Nashville to Seattle via Detroit with a single bike. Faced a heavy rainstorm, 90+ degree temperatures, mountain inclines, and high speeds on the Montana interstate. Very stable and solid hold, never really worried about it and I left it on the back of the car until the final destination. One note also mentioned in other reviews, the only thing securing it to the car is the hooks and straps. I tied some of the extra strap material to my bike and my bike lock around the bike and frame, but there isn't really anything to prevent someone from taking the whole rack off the car and tossing it into the back of a pickup truck. Would work exceptionally well for a day trip or if parked in a secure area.

Make Sure it Fits YOUR Car
I should've paid more attention... The bike rack quality is actually surprisingly good. The problem is that I didn't read the listing right. It does NOT fit my Nissan Rouge SV. It fits all other years ACCEPT mine, which it DOES state that, so its 100% my fault. However, I found a way to just cram the clips into the trunk and the bike rack works! It has some decently easy installation, but still may require some additional assistance. Settings the bikes onto the rack is very easy, but you WILL want an extra strap to wrap around the bikes and the base of the rack to ensure the bike is stable and doesn't swing around. Other than that, it holds the bikes firmly. One thing I have noticed, at least for my car, is that the rack completely blocks the license plate. Try not to get pulled over! There is really no worry about scratches either, as all the scratchable parts are covered.

Fits Mini Cooper S Hardtop (2013) PERFECTLY!
This rack was SUPER easy to install. I am rather small and it took me less than 5 minutes to install by myself! The arms collapse when you don't need to carry bikes OR if you just want to carry one bike. ALSO, I can still open my hatch!! I love it. It's fairly lightweight (I could definitely carry it in the sling bag that came with it), but I will probably just leave it on my car even when I am not transporting my bikes because it's so slim and does not hinder my normal motoring. Will update this review once I've actually carried my bikes on it, but so far I LOVE IT!UPDATE: I carried mine and my boyfriend’s bike on this rack yesterday. My bike fits perfectly. However, because of how I put the rack on my hatch (a little lower than the instructions per another Mini owner’s suggestion), my boyfriends bike was only about 5 inches off the ground. It still worked fine, but I had to go over speed bumps at an angle to prevent the bike from touching. Overall, I still love this rack. It’s very sturdy with the bikes on it. It works surprisingly well with my very small car. I still love that I can use my hatch while the rack is on my car. I would definitely recommend this rack, especially for hatchbacks.
