Just Made my 8 Yr Old Daughter Very Happy :)
Update 20 months later: Very Happy! Still rides as fast, as long, and as strong since day 1. I've only had to put air in the front tire 2 or 3 times in 20 months of owning; no other maintenance needed. :)Review based upon 1 day of use:It assembled quite easy needing only to connect the handle-bar shaft to the main frame (they give you the tool); tighten it good, but don't over tighten because the clamp is made out of aluminum, and I've seen aluminum threads strip easy from other devices. The battery did indeed need a full 12 hours of charge before the charger's LED turned from Red to Green; however, it ended up charging for about about 20 hours before my 8 year old daughter first rode it.Ready to ride: BE CAREFUL !! My daughter obviously couldn't wait to ride it, so on the driveway which is sloped downward she began to kick off, turned the grip, and she almost ended up out in the street. Have your child in an open space without cars around until they get use to it, please. We went to a nearby park which has a track around a small lake. She kicked it up to ~3mph, turned the grip, and off she went with me riding my bicycle next to her. The little E100 keeps a decent pace for it's size. We rode about 15 minutes, and then came back home and put it back on the charger just to keep the charge up for a later ride. After 2 hours the charger's LED was Green. We took it out again, and this time for about 25 minutes. There were no problems, and no indication the batteries were dying.I feel bad for the 10% bad reviews of children who's scooters had problems. Ignore the stupid review: "My daughter hate it !!!! you have to do until 3mph start the electric motor !!!!! and I did not see anything telling about this when I decided to buy !!!!". I mean come on... I find that getting it up to 3mph before the motor engages is a very nice safety feature for a beginning rider of powered vehicles. Once it gets going, it goes, and it's fun !!!

Worth the money
My grandson is 7 and loves this Razor scooter I got him for Christmas! Easy to operate and lots of fun. It goes 10 miles an hour which is faster than other scooters I looked at. He rides it with no problems at all

Well built
Better built than others I have seen. Right size for my 7-8 yearold grandson. Adult supervision is needed. It took a bit for them to learn to kick start it.

The "throttle " is an "on-off" affair. No variable speed
I purchased two Razor power scooters for grandkids. One E-100 (for my granddaughter - because it was pink- there was another color but could not view it for my grandson) and one PowerCore E-100 because it was blue.Overall, construction seems of good quality. Had real challenges securing the handlebar stem to the front fork on the E-100 - not so the power core model. These are tightened with a provided Allen wrench - it required four tightenings on the pink scooter. The younger child (grandson) had challenges getting used to the surge that the scooter produces when the throttle is engaged. There is no variable speed with these motors. The throttle just turns on the motor which is activated to top speed, giving a jerky start to the ride. My grandson adapted to this by turning throttle on and off frequently. On inspection, The power core 100 has the motor attached to rear wheel (and no chain) where the E-100 has motor in front of the wheel with a chain. The specs say each scooter has two 12 volt batteries. On inspecting the size of the battery, the "power core 100 " batteryseems to be physically larger (extending further back to the space that the motor of the E-100 occupies). The "throttle" is a small part (grey) of the right handle (black) - the rider has to turn the smaller inner grey ring to activate the motoer. In side to side trials, the "power core E-100" battery lasts much longer than the E-100 lasting well over an hour of riding. It also has speed surge when first activated and overall seems faster.Brakes cut off motor and apply friction to front wheel. They seem adequate.Recharge is advertised as 12 hours - seems to be much faster. On one occasion one scooter did not run even after charge. By pushing the small "reset" button problem solved.Use so far has been on slightly sloped church parking lot. Both ran well. They even ran on some closely cropped lawns.Again, the owner manual makes two velocity references 3 mph and 10 mph. The 3 is the presumed speed the kid has to get to before engaging the motor. Once the motor comes on it goes to top speed - nothing in between. This may be a challenge to the novice - i.e. a jolt of velocity - nothing subtle about it.

Fast, Fun and perfect for an adventurous 7 year old
The media could not be loaded. i bought this for my 7 year old daughter. She's adventurous and athletic (good balance and strength). SHE LOVES THIS SCOOTER. I charged it for 12 hours as recommended before use. She has probably rode it a dozen times and we haven't had to charge it yet. She honestly probably uses the battery a total of 10-15 minutes each time - but it is lasting. Child will need to push off to get the motor running. Since i got it in the fall, we won't get to use it as often. But for now it seems great - it really zips pretty quickly. I will be taking it in for the winter since my garage is not heated. I've had no issues with it for the three weeks of use. Only complaint i "COULD" have is the battery is really heavy. This is not a complaint for me because it's stored in a garage and i don't have to lift it ever.

Scooters
I bought 2 scooters for my granddaughters. Assembly was easy, charging the battery was easy. Once the girls, age 7 and 6, learned to push and then start while they were gliding, they were fine. The scooter runs with good poweron hills. Both girls are under 50 pounds each. We've had the scooters for a month, so I can't give any review on reliability.
