Quentin Tarantinos Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywoods golden age.

Greetings from Patricia Krenwinkel's home town ...
… of Mobile, Alabama, where the chickensnot little bayatch ran to grandmama's house after she took part in the real atrocity on Cielo Drive (and got arrested). I have been living here (moved from up north to work and do good deeds) trying whatever I can to make Mobile's image right after what she made it famous for. Yes, this is probably Tarantino's best since "Pulp Fiction" and a stunning portrayal of the decaying years of the late '60s in an entertainment town that had lost its way for awhile.I really enjoyed the soundtrack of sometimes marginally rememberable songs and radio commercials (the Heaven Scent ad was unusually well placed in context to what was going on in front of the camera when it appeared). I know Tarantino has gone off on a run of films in which historical bad buys get theirs in alternate endings as opposed to real history, but this one, much more than Inglorious Basterds and Django, had a good bit more credibility. It should have in real life ended this way. A fun, irreverent and salty piece worth the length of time it took to watch!

Nostalgic
Reminds me of old times, but not enough muscle cars. Still, loved all the reference to a bad outcome for the Mansons.

Lancer tv series flashbacks
BEING A FAN OF THE TV SERIES Lancer from 68-70 , and a huge James Stacy fan much of those scenes c were easily recognizable to me, I encourage people to watch the series pilot on Youtube before watching this to catch all the inside jokes, especially where the wardrobes are concerned and the little girl.

Didn't Work
The DVD came from the United Kingdom & it didn't work in my Blu-Ray, it just got spit back out. So I ordered it again from Best Buy and this one worked. Also ordered 12 Years A Slave from you, and just received it today. This one came from The Netherlands, and also didn't work in my Blu-Ray. I'm NOT a happy camper.

A love letter to Hollywood, back when it was sort of sane.
This movie takes the events surrounding the Tate / Labianca murders and puts a very interesting spin on it all while doing an amazing job of recreating the world of Hollywood in the late 60's ... a Masterpiece

Box was broken and it looks like a pirate DVD. Has a hand written label on the DVD.
This does not look like a legitimate product. The box appears to make it an authorized copy but the DVD itself has a handwritten label taped to it and the box was broken when it showed up. I have not had an opportunity to view the DVD yet so I will comment about the quality of the movie at that time.
