Great drive for any laptop
What can you say about a hard drive? It stores stuff. If it stores and gives you back what you stored without error, it's great.Unlike a lot of 2.5 inch hard drives, this one has a rotational speed of 5400 RPM, rather than 4400, so it's faster than a lot of its peers. The interface, SATA 3.0, doesn't hurt either, but the interface can be as fast as it wants to and not do any good if the data isn't under the read heads when it's needed.Price - performance ratio is good too. It's hard to get more bang for your buck. You can't go wrong with this drive.

Hard drive has been wonderful so far! Reliable 1TB storage.October 2015 Update: This hard drive DIED after less than 6 months of use. I had a ton of unreplaceable data on it and I was not able to get it recovered. I tried the freezer trick and everything.Really disappointed by this. Now I have a SSD.

No reason to pay a repair shop when replacing a hard drive yourself is easy and very cost-effective!
The unit was easy to replaces in my ASUS laptop by opening the disk access drawer. The units arrived free of disk errors and setup went smoothly. I highly recommend replacing a drive yourself over going to a repair center. I probably saved $100 doing it myself.
