It worked for my wooden flute
I bought one of these and it did not work . I ordered another and it worked fairly well on a Native American wooden flute . I clipped it to the top piece where you find the fine tuner which is usually an animal or some other decorative carving . The only problem I had was getting the clip to go wide enough to stay on . I'm still experimenting with it , but it has already surpassed a wireless mic that I bought for three times the price of this one .( No feedback ) So if you can experiment and are wiling to be tethered to the wire that plugs into a PA system or amplifier I'd say you should try it .

No buzz
I make song covers to entertain my friends while they’re still on lockdown. Always felt like that the sound quality of my covers sounded like I was singing inside a water tank. Wanted to know if it was because of how the sound travels throughout my room. I added acoustic panels and now its kinda’ like you couldn’t hear the guitar anymore. I knew I needed to use a pick-up. I have a electric guitar but there are some songs that I can only give justice to if I use an acoustic. Used this pickup on my acoustic guitar, it sounds great no buzz at all. I’m very much happy with this purchase.

Works pretty well
I’m using it as a contact mic for field recording not music. It feels well made, sturdy, but I’d does have a buzz. Most pzm pick ups I’ve dealt with buzz a little. Maybe a ground lifter or hum eliminator would get rid of it? It’s got a good output level.

Don't buy it
it is functional but it buzzes so bad you can barely hear the instrument.

This clip on mic pickup was used to amplify a country music hand wood saw.
We liked the fact that you could clip the mic on anywhere on the saw…. It is a very unusual hand held musical instrument with a very interesting and unusual sound. The sound is produced with a violin bow on the back of the saw….

Nothing but noise coming out of this mic
Sending it back. I've tried to use it with acoustic guitar. Lots of noise and barely any sound coming out of this.

For the price can’t complain
Have to turn the volume up quite a bit.
