Works well if you are using Davis Instruments Vantage Vue or Pro 2 units -- need 6510USB though
I interfaced this to my Davis weather system and it appears to work very well. I had gotten one of these before and it is in another state interfaced to an old Envoy8x with the USB data logger installed. This one went just as easy. Since the Davis WLL (6110) units are hard to come by with the chip shortage I was hoping using these were an easier route to take. This comes with a USB splitter from Belkin that converts the USB signal from the data logger from 1.x to 2.0 which is required by the Weatherbridge server unit. The information included indicates it is licensed for two years with a two year extension. Note that it has to be connected via ethernet if you have a mesh home network, per something I read. You have to set it up with ethernet connected anyway so I just left it connected. The wireless connection would be good to try but wasn't in the cards for my setup. Note you will look at it and wonder about paying so much for something so small but I'm sure part of that is the license. I do wish they'd send a paper set of instructions but they don't -- they merely point you to their support web page.

The brain to your weather station!
This device is amazing! Easy to hookup. I purchased this back in 2016 and have had zero problems with it. It comes with 2 years of free software updates. Mine expired and the thing still works great! It's only around $17 USD for another 2 year of software updates. I just keep forgetting to purchase the updates since it keeps working perfectly. I have a Davis Vantage Pro 2 hooked up to it with the USB logger. Uploading to Weather Underground.

So this 24.00 item from the manufactures website did not work when plugged in
This is a embedded flashed TpLink cellular router. There is no setup guide and the link on the included paper work. I worked hard to locate the actual website and then found the 24.00 device so I could locate setup and factory restore information which did not work either. Device acts as if it is not completing boot and needs to be thrown out as faulty. Amazon has no clue how to support this and I will contact the seller by phone directly via their web site to see how things work. The firmware is from Germany and that site is all on the WIKI with no real support or description of how to get the firmware to re-flash the device.I was hoping for a device for my weather station to replace the PC that wont connect to a popular weather station that I bought on amazon and lacks support to fix the PC connect problem to broadcast to online the measured conditions...

Works well
I purchased this a few weeks ago from Amazon. Connected to Davis Vantage Vue weather station through their data logger. Uploading data to Weather Underground at regular intervals (can be changed). Worked out of the box and working without problems so far. Creating an account on Weather Underground took a bit longer. Connecting to router via ethernet. Have not tried WIFI at this time, no need to use it in this application. The Davis weather station is a USB 1.x device and the Weatherbridge is a USB 2.0 device. Ambient includes the USB conversion device in this kit.

It does what it is advertised to do. I have not had any problems with it. Setup can be complicated and it helps to be experienced in computer networking. I recommend using a reserved DHCP address if you are using the wireless connection to your internet gateway. Wired network connections are the better choice, whenever possible. It is overpriced, making this a good market opportunity for enterprising Raspberry programmers.

Pretty Darn Cool
Export weatherstation to multiple weather networks, mysql, twitter etc. It is relatively hassle free to use once you get it figured out. It will post a considerable number of stats to twitter, email, mysql etc on a periodic basis.Hooked right up to our wifi network and published to weather underground in a few minutes although you have to read the directions for meteobridge thoroughly to get it publishing stats. I'm using it with an ambient weather 1200 ip station. Will upload pics from Ubquiti AirCams etc as well.
