Our picky Persian approves this
We have a male persian cat, hes pretty long and chunky. He has had recurring urinary blockage issues and struggled with other cat toilets for various reasons. We bought this litter tray as he recenhtly had a blockage and cystitus. Anyway this cat toilet is nice and long which allows him to fir in comfortably and turn around, he took to it straight away. When he gets cystitus he can be reluctant to step over a high entry to a litter tray so this tray with the lowered entry worked out great and he had no issues getting in or out. I see others comment on litter being kicked out from the low entry, I have to say we had this over a week and this has not been a problem - Grimalkin is a real kicker of litter and so if this was an issue then we would have seen it for sure. I think the length of the tray prevents the litter spilling out and also believe other owners must have over filled the tray. I use a bag of the 10l litter and we have no problems. I really recommend this tray if your cat has urinary issues, is older or struggles with mobility.

Ideal for picky, elderly and/or physically challenged cats, even if they kick up a storm
It's excellent for my elderly and physically challenged cats. I love the low entry point, and the raised sides help confine scatter. It's also an appropriate size (any smaller would be too tight) and solid quality. So far, so good!

Works very well for larger bunnies!
In the 11 years I've had house rabbits, I've gone through a number of different litter boxes. I have two 8 lb bunnies, and one loves to throw her litterbox around for fun, spreading litter everywhere. She refuses to use a litterbox to do her business in, preferring to piddle right next to it, and pooping everywhere. I got two of these, one for each big bun, and they are fabulous! They are light enough that I can handle them easily, but heavy enough that even my problem bun can't pick it up and throw it around. Because they are large enough that my buns can easily fit inside along with a healthy dose of hay, they happily spend their days pooping and peeing where they are supposed to while chowing down. I've been using them for a couple months now, scrubbing and disinfecting them weekly, and so far I've seen no plastic breakdown; the material isn't becoming porous. These litter boxes are deep enough that I can add another layer of litter and hay each day, meaning I don't have to clean them daily. That I can layer the box and avoid cleaning it daily is great, but it also means that when I do empty them every 5-7 days, the bottom layer has already started "composting" for want of a better word, and the entire contents of the litterbox go straight into my compost pile. The only downside I've found is that the box is big enough that when it's full, it's a bit difficult to empty into the backyard compostable garbage bags I use. Then again, the bags are supposed to be 13 gallons, but I doubt they hold more than 10 gallons. They are also very flimsy, so whether the problem is the bag or the box is a matter of perspective. I'm VERY pleased! So far, so great!

not for a large cat!
I really thought this would be good for a large cat but it clearly is not. Great for my other smaller cats though. It is sturdy, so easy to scoop and nothing sticks to the bottom. However, my large cat is just that and cannot turn around in this. It is a narrow box which is fine for a smaller cat but at 22# this wasn't a good choice for me. I kept it so the other 2 could use it and they do. So I am looking for another one that is larger.I would recommend it though as it is a nice box.

My Senior Kitty likes it!
My older kitty cat was having a hard time getting in and out of her previous litterbox so I was happy to come across this one for her to try. I really like how it still has the high sides to prevent accidents. She’s able to get in and out of it pretty easily - much easier than traditional boxes. It’s easy to keep scooped and clean. It’s a winner. I like also how it’s good from babies to seniors!

Finally a winner!
I have a pudgy cat, and with any other litter box, she scoops outside of the box. With this, she has enough room to move, and scoop. My smaller cat loves it as well. She has claimed her corner, and it works perfectly. We ordered two!I highly recommend this box if you have a cat that needs more space, or they are aging like my girls.

great idea but needs to be bigger
I have some misgivings about this box. I have a multi cat household and bought this specifically for my xtra large and quite overweight kitty who is also stiff and sore in the hindquarters. This box seemed to be the ideal for what I was looking for in order to make exit/entry for him easier. In this regard it does serve it's purpose. But being that he is quite a large cat I would be much happier with this box if it were about 2-3 inches longer and also 2-3 inches wider. All of my cats use this box but my 2 big boys really fill it up and the stiff/sore back baby has a hard time turning around in it. And as others have said, if you have a litter-slinger in your house you will get quite a bit of litter out on the front. But I remedy this by placing a puppy pee-pad in front and then can just lift that up and pour back in the slung out litter. A newspaper or something similiar would also serve this same purpose. I expected this problem as my other big boy here could win a gold medal in the olympics for litter slinging. He's a pro at it. All in all I can neither complain or sing high praises about this box. I could easily give it 5 stars if it were bigger. And one other thing, the color depicted here is not what you will receive. The actual color of the box is a cream color which is quite pretty. And one plus about this box, the cats love to play in the big shipping box that it came in.

Great for handicap or senior cats!!! (Especially tripod kitties)
We have a tripod kitty that we were worried would struggle with his regular litterbox. We purchased this and it has worked so well for him. It is easy to access from the low front and since he is missing g a front leg that is very helpful. You do get some extra little that will spill from the front but we still love this litterbox and highly recommend it if you have a handicap or senior cat.
