I have waist length straight hair. I've been using Goody brushes for decades. The bristles are very stiff, so they penetrate all the way to my scalp and are strong enough to brush through my hair to get rid of all tangles without breaking my hair. The bristles can feel a bit sharp when the brush is new, which is a good thing for me. I like the way they feel on my scalp and I believe that the stiff bristles stimulate my scalp and contribute to healthy hair, even as I have become a "senior". BTW, I also find them to be excellent back scratchers too.

The brush bristles are hard but works well. I have thin hair so the brush bristles tend to hurt my scalp sometimes but the benefit to that is it stimulates my scalp.

This is the closest match I could find to a goody hair brush which I had for about 25 years. Yeah I got my money's worth out of that one. I had one in my car and one in my bathroom. The one in my car snapped while I was brushing my hair. Why I went in and looked at the one in the bathroom I put some pressure on it bending it and it snapped in half. I guess they've taken a lot of abuse over the years. So I bought this since it looked just like the one I had. But the bristle is a lot harder probably it's made cheaper. I do like it better than a softer bristle goodie brush I bought although don't be in too much of a hurry to brush your hair because it can hurt!

I've always bought this brush and I'm glad that I can still get it. It is perfect for me. It fits right in my hand, it brushes through my thick hair with no problem not too soft and not hard plastic, and no fancy twists, turns, nor other things to detract from it's purpose.

The media could not be loaded. This brush is a great price and is built well. As the saying goes, " You get what you pay for ". With this brush, you get MORE than what you pay for. I personally have no complaints. I am sure I will be using it for many years. Remember this is not a high end brush, it gets the job done though. If you have a sensitive scalp, you may wish to find something softer. Thanks!
