The Sweetest Oblivion

Freaking Amazing!
Re-read it 5 times. I usually never post reviews of any books but this one my god! The way the author has written the book! How she has worded it so simply but so beautifully. Read it 5 times and each time I get mesmerised by how the story has such a I don't know how to express it but when you read it it's like you go to a different world. One of the simplest, best mafia books.

Okayish read
I’d rate this book as just okay. The storyline had potential and kept me going, but I found myself getting annoyed at times—especially with Elena. Her constant doubts and second-guessing made her a frustrating character to follow. On the other hand, Nico was definitely a highlight; reliable and consistent, though he did feel a bit dull at times. Overall, while the plot was decent and had its moments, I feel the author could have developed the characters better and added more depth to truly make it stand out.

Love it
Full of angst and sexual tension . Ottp MMC but a softball to the FMC. Just how I like my romance novels.

Undoubtedly 5 stars.
I want to write so much about this book but I don't think my words would ever do justice to its perfection.I'm just swooned over its simplicity and messiness. This book is all FEELS. I bet you would feel so many emotions at one point your heart just wants to leap out beat on the pages.Sounds super sloppy and exaggeratedly poetic but Niko aka Ace aka Nikolas Russo is a very Dream for a Don of the underworld. I wouldn't say he wasn't a rude bastard throughout the book because he was at many places. But OMG, his possessiveness was addictive and brutal.Elena is simple yet strong, stubborn and curious to a fault. And Nico's weakness the moment they met their eyes locked, their being burned and soul gripped by one another. An epic slow burn, forbidden at the start and marriage of convenience throughout the ride at its best. Nico was all black morally and just grey but his intuition for marriage is classic and super conservative yet you would love him even more.I love authors who showed grey men holding the marriage-bet to their graves. There is something primal and very frightening (in a best way) when they are not commitment- phobic. This book will make you believe that patriarchy could be tolerating too if you married the right guy. I know it sounds super twisted but that Nico was a patriarch most of the time but man he was hot in everything.Go read and risk your hearts. Also the only book where I highlighted my own bests.

No words. I am very picky with my books and I hardly ever leave a review unless I am most tempted to and well I am writing this so…Go dive into this book and then you’ll want to drown.

this was my first ever book by Danielle Lodi and I absolutely loved it!! I inhaled the entire book in one day and I still can't get enough. Nico has my whole heart. he was the perfect anti-hero. and Elena...i loved that she equally fought back and wasnt a pushover. this book was spicy, funny, had swoon worthy moments and no annoying characters. if u havent read it yet, i suggest u try it out. u wont regret it. im excited to see what more's in store for this author
