Old South Sweet Pickled Watermelon Rind 10 Oz Jar

These are just like the ones my grandmother used to make. We wrap bacon around small pieces and broil. They are the perfect hors doeuvres.

I'm from Ohio, so these aren't that popular here. I was so excited when I stumbled upon them. Pretty expensive but that's every brand because they are a delicacy. They make great hors d'ouerves wrapped in bacon or prosciutto and baked to a crispy caramelization. Sparks conversation between guests when they can't put their finger on what that is! Beautiful color and delightful texture combined with this sweet pickled flavor. Leaves you wanting more.

Hard to find this product in stores despite being around forever. Tastes just like I remember from decades back.

My fault; should’ve read the ingredients. While the flavor was decent, all the corn syrup (!) made the texture of these watermelon rind pickles too soft and slimy to eat. Tossed the whole jar.

So I wasn’t sure what to expect from these but I’m happy. They smell exactly like a sweet pickle and taste like one too. My only complaint is I want more crunch/more snap. They were a little soft.

The watermelon rind pickles are great for a snack or on toast. They are lightly sweet and have a great taste. I enjoy the flavor & texture alot!
