Close Shave, No Nicks!
Attractive razor, great value, good, close, shave! My previous razor resulted in cuts almost every time. This one has yet to cut me, after 3-4 uses. Plus the shave is closer.I just bought two more just to have on hand in the coming years.

Nice weight.
I like the length and weight as you have more control over the razor. It came with the Astra razor blade and I purchased a 100 pack. I figured it will take me 2 years to go through them at a cost of $10.00. I am very impressed the sharpness. So glad I did. Best shave I have had in years.

Very impressed
I have used Gillete atra razors for 3 decades. When they went woke I decided to vote with my dollar, use up the rmaining cartridges and replace them. I finally settled on a butterfly safety razor.I found this razor for a modest price meeting all my wants/needs. I purchased the one with medium aggressiveness. My beard is heavy mostly grey now. It arrived in good shape, well packaged and one razor in the box. I purchased another 100 of the highly recommended blades. I had held off shaving to make sure I could use it when it arrived. I was NOT disappointed. the shave was smooth, fast and I only cut myself once. To put that into perspective my atra would cut me when my beard was that heavy multiple times and take 3 to 4 times because the blade was 1/2 the size of the safety razor and clogged a lot. Not this one, quick rinse through the water and it was ready for the next stroke. The shave is far superior to my atra. So much so that I went 7 days before shaving again and normaly with my atra I was lucky to make it 4. I believe this is because the larger single blade cuts more evently and does a better job in general.if youa re using any disposable razor you really need to throw it out and buy this one. Make sure you get the correct level of aggressive cutting. My face has over 40 years of shaving on it and is pretty tough, younger men might was a mild version. I really wish I had tried this 40 years ago. I anticipate the box of 100 blades to last me probably 2 years or more and they were $8, compare that to a pack of 5 atra's for 4 or 5 times the price and only last 1/3 as long.If anything changes I will update,PS I am not in any way shape or form compensated by anybody for my opinion.Update 2 Aug 2024.My only issue that I have come across is operator error. I didn't realize that the butterfly was not down tight. This allowed the blade to cut deeper and nicked myself a few places. No big deal, my fault, maybe you can learn from my mistake. On average I am getting about 4 or 5 shaves off of a single blade.

For me this is a great starter razor
This seems like a very nicely made razor. It has a solid feel, the handle is good length and has a nice heft to it, and the butterfly mechanism works fine. The finish is polished chrome, and looks very nice. I will update if it doesn't hold up.The plastic box that came with it is good, too. Most of the boxes on eBay are leather / leatherette pouches. I actually like the hard plastic shell. The only small issue is, the blade storage pocket in the case is not deep enough for a typical 5-blade carton, and if you put one there, the handle of the razor won't be seated all the way in it's cutout. The box still closes just fine, so this is largely cosmetic. What I did not like at all was the blade that came with it. I had severe irritation when using it, perhaps because it was too sharp. I am new to DE shaving so it could well be my inexperience, but once I switched to an Astra Platinum blade, things were way better. If you are a total noob like me, I strongly advice tossing that blade out (or setting it aside to try in the future once you know what you're doing) and getting one of the proven brands. Also, getting a good amount of lather, replenishing it with each pass, and applying absolutely the minimal amount of pressure is very important if you want to survive the shave without major irritation. Learned it the hard way.All in all, already by my 3rd shave using this razor (with an Astra blade and Arko soap bar, and a cheap synthetic brush from Maggards) I got an irritation-free shave which feels even smoother than what I was getting with my cartridges. Which is all one can ask from a razor. So, I fully embrace this razor, but subtracting one star for the blade. It would probably be better if the seller just tossed it out of the package.

Quality design and feel for a good price.
This is a good quality razor that is comfortable to use with my short stubby fingers. It dose provide a close comfortable shave, after learning how to use the razor. I have purposely held off on rating this razor for a couple of weeks so I could get a good feel for the razor. If you are wanting a quality razor for a good price I highly recommend Baili razors. Baili razors are good enough for other companies to buy and sell as their own they must be quality designed and made razors. Just remember every razor is different, and you must learn how to use itUpdate: after using this razor for a extended period I have made it my go to razor, over my more expensive razors. The fit and finish is high, and I always seem to get a great shave when I use it. I have even bought another version of baili razor and am becoming impressed with it also.UPDATE : this has become my favorite razor period. I only wish I had found it earlier.

Sometimes a step backward is a step forward
I've never used a safety razor before, though just about every snazzaroonie multiblade, comfort, face hugging, conditioning, supertechnowizardreality razor known to mankind. Oddly, without all that stuff it seems to work better--with a few caveats: first, this us a great quality razor, but real heavy. Not that bad to get used to, but heavy. Second, the single blade requires attention to what you're doing. That said, astounding quality, cheap blades, closer shave, and for the first time in my life I can shave against the grain for a closer shave without slashing myself to sushi. And that isn't even to mention being able to lather up my four year old grandson's face, pull the blade, and giggle with him while he "shaves." Really like this butterfly safety razor!
