A nice kit at a nice price! It's perfect for DIYers who don't need a high end or industrial model.
Pros:1. Awesome bargain for a variable-speed grinder with plenty of power, especially with all the accessories that are included.2. Both types of adjustable, quick-clamp guards included to meet current safety regs.3. Good quality lockable trigger switch.4. Rubbery secondary grip, mountable on either side. Better quality than garden-variety plastic ones.5. No spindle play, nice 'n tight.6. Minor play in gear mesh, not enough to matter to most users.7. Fairly heavy, feels substantial, gives impression of quality.8. Plenty of wheels included for various tasks.9. Replacement brushes included.10. Everything fits perfectly (arbor adapter, 5/8"-11 threads, wrench, etc.).Cons:1. No solid grinding wheel included. See my recommendations for these below.2. No storage case included, unless you count the flimsy cardboard box that everything is tossed into (no separate compartments). Given the many pieces in this kit and considering one must purchase a grinding wheel to make the kit complete, I would have gladly paid a few extra bucks for a proper blow mold case to hold and organize everything. Shall did include a sticker for one's toolbox (or whatever).Update 3-25-23: I purchased the $12.88 (at time of writing) Hyper Tough (Walmart house brand) 19" toolbox for this grinder kit. The box accommodates everything that came with the grinder, plus the solid grinding wheels I purchased (spec'd below) and even the Pomsare sanding kit (model PW820813; ASIN B09WYZMX2Q) that I purchased with this grinder.3. Vibration. It's not too bad at this price point, so this is a minor con.I scoured the interwebz for a corded, relatively powerful, variable speed angle grinder that wouldn't break the bank, and after doing much research into specs, I pulled the purchase trigger on this one. This variable-speed version is just $15 more than their constant-speed version. Included in this kit are 2 felt flap discs, which are are a little over $3 each (model SH122002AE; ASIN number B0B398XBYD), so that's about $6 worth. You're paying just $9 more for an ergonomically superior handle with superior trigger type switch and variable speed.Having variable speed greatly enhances utility of a grinder, as it can be used with various low speed accessories, such as sanding pads, foam polishing pads, shaping wheels, etc. The low cost of upgrading to this version is a no-brainer, so in my cart it went! The clamp guards are nicely done. The clamping force is adjustable via hex nut, and they can be positioned at any angle within the clamp lever's limits of movement (i.e., until it hits the grinder's head). The trigger switch is firm, smooth and solid, with a tactile On/Off snap. There is ≈ 10mm (0.4") travel before positive engagement, so it's not easy to accidentally turn this grinder on. I'm actually surprised at how good quality this switch feels at this price point. The trigger lock works well, easy to engage and release. The plastic secondary/auxiliary grip that can be mounted on either side is reasonably thick walled, has a length and diameter that most users should find suitable, and its rubber coating helps maintain grip and somewhat mitigates vibration transference to hands (as do thick gloves). It's the perfect size grip for my ≈ 100mm (4") wide hand. There is some vibration with this model, but it's not bad, especially considering the price. You'll notice it more with poorly balanced wheels (the heavier the worse, of course), but that applies to any grinder.Spindle play is practically non-existent. There's is some play in the gear mesh, but it's not bad. Looser tolerances at this price point are to be expected, and it certainly isn't a deal-killer with this model. The spindle lock works as it should. There are no issues with it.Don't expect an electric brake at this price. If you need a brake to satisfy regs or just your personal preference, this isn't the grinder for you.Although the manufacturer's product description says "6-speed dial", the speed is continuously variable — any speed can be set between the 6 numbers. I haven't yet checked accuracy of these numbers with an RPM meter. There's a detent only at the #6 setting. Since the control can't go past that point anyway, this detent makes no sense on this tool. It seems that Shall cut costs by using an off-the-shelf thumbwheel control meant for a different device — the detent is probably originally used as an on/off switch then the pot adjusts something. In any case, the speed control is smooth and works perfectly. As with the power switch, the speed control feels like good quality on my unit.I tried an included 60-grit flap disc on a mower blade and it started losing its abrasive quickly. It also rounds off the angle cut due to flap flex, which is of course common among flap discs in general. Flappers aren't the best option for mower blades, so I also added DeWalt grinding wheels to my cart (models DW4523 and DW4514; ASIN numbers B00004RH8I and B00002246K, respectively). I ordered the 2 different types because I wanted to see how each worked with this grinder — they do very well — and I wanted to make sure the 5/8"-11 spindle threads would properly mate with 5/8"-11 accessories from other brands like DeWalt (they do).The DeWalt wheels removed the mower blade metal quickly and their edges still look new after sharpening a rather dull blade.I used an included cutting wheel on some bolts and it worked well.At 7.5 amps and 12k RPM, this grinder has enough power and speed to satisfy most users, and it's more capable than most grinders in this price range.Build quality is surprisingly good, so if the price is indicative or suggestive of anything, it would be reduced durability and longevity. I can't speak to this grinder's durability, as I haven't dropped it or otherwise abused it, and my use has been limited (one mower blade and a couple bolts), so I can't say how long it will last. I'll update this review if my unit craps out on me prematurely with normal use.Verdict:A complete kit should include at least one solid grinding wheel, preferably 1/4" thick. However, I can't find a Shall brand solid grinding wheel available anywhere, which would explain its absence. It's odd that they offer felt flap discs but not a grinding wheel, considering most people buy grinders for.. grinding. The DeWalt wheels I referenced above are cheap and yet good quality, so despite the lack of grinding wheel, the overall value of this kit earned it the 5th star.P.S. I use a SAS face shield (model 5145; ASIN B000RFSLZ4) while grinding. Review pending on that item. I also typically wear safety glasses under the shield — mine is an old pair, NLA, so I have no model recommendation.

Good tool
I use this tool to make holes in granite/marble counter tops. This tool works great and the variable speed allows great control. Has worked very well so far.

Surprisingly good tool!
After a friend helped me figure out that the reason that I couldn’t get the cutting desk tied off was because the nut that held it down was upside down, I tested it on a piece of rebar. It worked fine. I haven’t yet. Tried any of the other discs for now. Maybe later today. This angle grinder got good reviews, proved to be relatively easy to assemble (see above). It seems to me, even though it was made in China, it’s well designed, well made of study materials, And it’s easy to use.

Angle Grinder Tool
The media could not be loaded. Although I have used different grinders in the past, I believe that this particular one stands out owing to the fact that it has a perfect balance of power, user-friendliness, and intelligent safety measures. I noted that it comes with a comprehensive collection of attachments, which includes two safety guards, cutting wheels, and flap discs. This makes it simple to begin working on a variety of tasks right away. With a nice weight that provides stability without being too hefty to use comfortably, the grinder has a sturdy and well-built feel about it. When dealing with such strong instruments, it is essential to have a firm grip, which is provided by the ergonomic design of the non-slip handle designed to prevent slipping. Even while applying pressure to more difficult materials, such as thick metal pipes and hardwood, I failed to have any difficulties in maintaining its stability. It enabled me to alter the speed from a lower RPM for more sensitive grinding and polishing chores to a maximum of 12,000 RPM when I wanted to cut through metal rapidly and effectively. All of these adjustments were made possible by the device. As a result of its adaptability, the grinder is ideal for a wide range of materials, including metal, wood, and even some construction materials. Despite using it at high rates for a lengthy amount of time, I did not encounter any slowing or overheating of the device. Power is delivered in a reliable manner by the motor, which is robust.

Debris locks switch in “on”. Low duty cycle
Carving dead wood bowls, baskets and mancala boards. Received 5/1. First woodcarving, the switch stuck in “on” position. Had to pull the plug. After cleaning and blow out around the switch, it remained stuck in “on”. Used an in-line foot switch for safety. Then used everyday (1-2 hrs ea). Drive shaft gear coupling separated on 5/10 (no electrical burn).Debris locks the switch in “on”
