Farmall 12 V retrofit alternator

Fit great on my 1949 Farmall Cub!!!
Fits under the hood just fine. I included some pictures of the belt and mounting so hopefully it will help someone. It only puts out +12.51V at idle (I never put my meter on it when running around) but I would bet that is enough to keep the battery charged. Will that low voltage damage the battery somehow? I would doubt it but I thought I would mention it. I am still in the restoration phase of my grandfather's tractor so only time will tell.

Love these alternators!
I have 4 older Farmall Cubs that were 6 volt positive ground with generators and I have converted them over to 12 volt negative ground and these alternators were perfect for completing the job. I plan on using them on some more old tractors I own when I rewire them. Very happy with these alternators. Love the smaller size and the price is good.

Works on my 44yr old Bolens tractor
Simple wiring. Adapting the mount was a bit challenging but doable. Also had to purchase an LED light and the pig tail with the correct T plug for the exciter. Did the whole job in about 4hrs.

Tiny alternator works great!
Perfect for my old diesel tractor. Just Google denso 3 wire alternator wiring diagram and it's pretty easy to install. 30 amps is plenty for lights and keeping the battery charged. I get 14.2 volts at idle on a 2 cylinder diesel tractor.

It works great after I found out it is not a true 1 wire alternator
I put this alternator on my dad's 1949 farmall cub. It was not a direct replacement but it works great after I figured out how to wire it.
