DI20B IR Illuminator | Long Range Infrared Flood Light for Security Camera (Black, w/Power Adapter)

This is a really small light (D120) which is great if you want something that is unobtrusive and works well (indoors) such as in a room at night or in a garage where people keep generators, tools, etc. It really DOES light up the garage for me. It really does make a difference for my garage cameras. Outside, no. It just does not have it from my point of view. It barely made a difference outside on my driveway. In my garage, I have it in a corner and it does a great job. With the garage door closed and the 36 inch metal door with half glass, it does come on so my solution was to put a smart plug on it to have it powered up about a half hour before sundown and about a half hour after sunrise. During the day, my cameras do fine in the garage. So while the light was sensing enough darkness to turn on inside the garage during the day...that is no longer an issue with the smart plug. Maybe if you have a very short driveway and you have two of these lights then "maybe" OK outside but probably not. For outside, get something bigger. I can't stress enough how small this light is...square but about as big a front as a softball but just an inch or so wide so it really is unobtrusive and very easy to hang. Where people are getting it is some kind of miracle light outside for security cameras at night-I just don't see that.

Installed 1 Dec 2023 and is a well-made solid product. It comes well packaged and with sufficient installation accessories. Installation was simple and additional cable can be purchased if needed.Using it for a WYZE V3 and it worked great. Nighttime illumination of the yard was good but it quit working witin 60 days.I checked the transformer output and it was in specs. Power is traceable to the unit but it does not generate any IR Illumation. I verified this with a military-grade IR light wavelength identifier. Additionally, the unit reads ambient temperature on the scanner (no Heat at all).Not sure if this is a random QC issue or not.Update: the seller contacted me and offered and shipped a replacement for the IR illuminator. He was very open with my issues and the company is definitely customer service oriented. I updated my rating to 4 and my current feeling is this is a random isolated issues with this product. I will follow up after using the replacement IR illuminator.Update #2I have updated my review to a 5. The replacement illuminator has performed flawlessly and I definitely would purchase another unit from Tendelux. Thank you Tendelux for a great product and customer service.Update #3 30 March 2025The replacement illuminator continues to perform flawlessly. This is definitely a quality product and seller. This picture tells you everything you need to know about the before and after installing this light.On the corner of my shed I mounted two Ring Outdoor Plus cameras on either side of the corner. only on one side is the infrared light mounted. The cameras are mounted at the bottom of the roofline and the light is mounted at the peak of the roof. The way the light is mounted, the side of the shed blocks the light from the left half of the picture. So this picture is from the camera pointing in the opposite direction that the light is pointing. The left hand side is lit by the camera's built in infrared light and the right side is augmented by the light. Bright as day and crystal clear.The second picture is the camera pointed in the same direction as the light before the other camera was mounted so the dark area is darker because there is no 2nd camera with built in infrared.Installation was a breeze. Thinking of getting a timer to cut use in half....only have it for a week so no knowledge of long term life

I upgraded from an older infrared (IR) light to a new LED model, and the difference is incredible! The new lights are reliable and provide outstanding illumination. With versatile mounting options, I use this IR light with my security cameras, as the built-in lights aren’t sufficient in low light. The transformation is impressive—it's hard to believe such a small device can emit so much invisible light. Installation took only about 10 minutes and a ladder, but this upgrade has been a fantastic investment.

Update:I actually purchased 5 lights total. First order was for 3 lights. They worked well after installation, so I ordered 2 more. Shortly after receiving the second order, the original 3 began failing. Within a few months, only 2 of the 5 still work!1st failed at 3 months, 2nd failed at 6 months, and 3rd failed at 9 months. I will purchase a better lifespan option to replace these.

This is exactly what I needed for my camera. Had an area of the yard that was too dark to see well as the camera's built in infrared light didn't reach far enough. This lit it up bright as day (just in black and white).

Unit died about one week after return period at Amazon. Unit lasted 36 days and died in a storm from water intrusion.I emailed Tendelux Support and they replied very quickly, they have sent a replacement unit that should be here in a few days 😁I will update my rating ⭐⭐⭐ after it survives this winter's elements as while it worked, it worked very well and lit up the area well.Tendelux stands by their 18 month warranty it appears, if the next one is sealed better I definitely will be getting more if these.
