Q: Can this unit be mounted sideways on a truck frame rail ?

I am not sure I would put this in a wet location I don't see that its water proof. I would only mount the tank not compressor under suv..

Jason,NO. This kit needs to be mounted vertically or right side up due to the drain position on the bottom of the tank.
