It's a well made piece. The bronze and branch etching look great and it fits perfectly between my fingers while holding my pipe. Despite its size, it has some heft to it and tamps well. I already ordered a few more to have as spares.

This is a nicely made tool but the price is really on the steep side for something so simple. It's completely functional and everything works right, but it's still just a couple molded pieces of metal, it's not a finely made craft item that I'd keep as an heirloom and feel good about spending $18 on. The amount of materials and level of effort needed to make this thing is probably about on par with a single kitchen fork...Threads together pretty nicely. Good size that is easily pocketable, handy to have.

This has become my go-to tamp. Sturdy, comfortable, and has a nice heft.

This pipe tamper is complete garbage. Poor quality, looks bent right out of the packaging and lousy feel and look and way overpriced. Congratulations on the description photos, well done on making garbage look exciting and flashy. I’d rather use a stick.

While this definitely did the trick for me, the thin rod bends easily and I can no longer fit it inside the housing.
