moderate challenge with an epic pay off
Absolutely amazing project. Took my son and I a week working on it few hours here and there. I have a lot of model experience and I'd rate this medium difficulty. Had to use hobby knife to ensure the smaller pieces don't break when releasing them from their parts panel. Directions were very well written / drawn. Thing was amazing to use once complete!

HIGHLY recommend! Beautiful and fun once completed.
This was so fun to put together. You must be patient but the final product was amazing!!! It took me ~6 hours to assemble but once I started I was hooked to finish it. The color and detail is absolutely amazing! You will need a larger work station to lay parts out. Some of the pieces did come out of the board before I wanted them to so i just put a piece of tape on it with the board & part number so I knew where it came from. No glue or special tools needed to assemble and everything fit perfect. The instructions are printed on a HUGE paper, would be nice if it were in a book format to page through each step. Even though it was bulky the illustrations and instructions were very easy to follow. I did mark off the steps once I completed them.I love that it can hold multiple rubber bands and has the option to switch from single shoot or continuous fire. The rubber bands are very large so they don't hurt when shot. The only downside is there is not an auto retreaval of your ammo ;)

Fun gift item.
Overall, great gift item. However, it would have been nice to have thicker pieces to work with to make it more sturdy.

Long build time but worth it!
Really fun project for under 40 bucks! My son and I put this together. It took about 5 or 6 hours and we are both experienced model builders so be ready for that but it's ridiculously fun once completed.

Amazing
Bought this for my 24yo military son for Christmas. Him and his cousins all gathered again the following night to put it together and play with it. Best gift ever. Watching the pure focus and determination on each adults face as they worked on it lol men really never do grow up, and I'm ok with that

Excellent gift idea for older STEM child
This is a great project for an older child that enjoys STEM projects. Some parents may have issues with weapons but this is a rubber band launcher. Easy to assemble and looks really good. There is a great sense of accomplishment when you complete the build.

SUPER NICE BUT VERY HARD
Well, I was in Army in 1966 , I could tear down and completely clean my M14 in 15 minutes and have it operational. Now of course I am ancient, but I can clean my assault rifle in about the time it takes to get started on this. Very small pieces, springs are teeny, takes three hands to compress springs and get next part in. Had one medium spring fly out, looked everywhere for hour as I did not want dogs to choke on it. Turns out it flew up hit light fixture came down and landed on my assembly box . Ha haI would say you would have to be a very craft guy in high school to appreciate this. Also instruction small should have been booklet, just one giant sheet you turn over and over looking for part numbers. Pieces very tight need to wax on lightly sand some. But I will work on this an hour every night till I get it done!!!
