A mesmerizing & comprehensive treat of ' All things seasonal and nature- oriented'
What a wonderful book. The tutorials are very clear to follow and the book is very well presented in a charming way. The paintings are very alluring and delightful.(plants, animals, birds, landscapes, flowers, etc ...all pertaining to the five seasons...yes there are five)It also has two recipes as bonus( or I might have missed out a few more if there are any).I also have the two other books by Harriet which are amazing but I like the new book on seasons even more. The subjects covered are unlike any I had seen before in watercolour painting books on instruction. They are beginner-friendly and also cater to watercolourists with more experience in this art medium. The reason for the latter being that we are always on the discovery to enhance our skills and explore new and varied themes from time to time.To conclude ' A year of watercolour ' by Harriet de winton introduces watercolour painting for beginners.... but more importantly, for an intermediate learner like me, gives numerous ideas not to just follow the tutorials but (by applying her methods) also expand my approach on numerous and varied subjects as a whole.Thank you Harriet for this treasure of a book.
