Perfect for vintage sound & beyond
Bought these not expecting much but had my expectations exceeded, These are great pickups for clean vintage sounds to high gain and overdriven sound, pinch harmonics shine perfectly. Very low buz on insulated guitar with plenty of tone variation between positions, I changed the covers to brass Crome ones to match my guitar and they work perfect. Greatly recommended

Dead middle pickup
Took my pick ups to be installed and the middle pick up was dead. Apparently there was damage to the coils themselves. My local shop was able to repair it and get it working but it obviously cost me more money so I’m a little disappointed. Other than that, they definitely sound better than the stock pick ups that came in the squire mini that they were installed in.

Good sound from the pickups and a reasonable price. Some Quality control issues. Would recommend.
Caveat: I'm not a luthier or professional musician. My amp is a Fender Mustang LT25 and I play for my own enjoyment (in retirement) at home. Pedals are limited to the LT25 and an aging Digitech RP100.Pickups arrived reasonably fast, so no complaints there. Each pickup was wrapped in bubble wrap. Pickup position is clearly marked on the bottom of each. The neck and middle pickups went into a Washburn Lyon 6 string with HSS configuration. The guitar was bought AS IS for a song on an auction site but photos did not show the extensive body damage. I decided to strip her down and give her a new paint job. Unfortunately, the original single coil pickups got damaged, hence the Musiclily purchase. Selector switch had a dead spot in the middle position, so I replaced all the electronics with 500k big pots. The originals were 416k & 435k mini's. The humbucker is staying so I won't need the bridge pickup. My one issue is with the neck pickup in that one lead was 3"-4" shorter than the other. It was an obvious fault and yet quality control missed it. And since it is mounted farther away from the control cavity, it had to be spliced to reach the switch.I used the springs that came with the pickups. The guitar has no pick guard (as least for now) so I used the original wood screws to mount the pickups. I had not problems with this.Pros:I like the sound, warm and juicy on the 6/5 strings. If you crank up the gain, the SS's can be quite bright if plucked near the bridge. The H/S configuration sounds good, too.Con:As I said, poor quality control, hence 4 stars. So far, I would recommend them.

Sound like high price pick ups
I bought these based on other reviews. I am a hobbyist upgrading cheap guitars. I have purchased the two major USA brands, but the price of these was worth a try. Honestly, I’m going to keep ‘em in there. They sound really good.

Night and Day Difference
I should have recorded before and after but these things blow the stock pickups out of the water. I have a Squire Sonic like the other guy in the reviews, mine isn't quite as complicated with any other upgrades but just the pickups were enough to be a major change in the sound of this guitar. It sounds similar to my Player II now. So if you want to take your $400 guitar and make it sound like a $1000 guitar, these things will definitely help. I think I need some mint or yellow nobs now though, the aged white I ordered don't match the cream color of the pickups as well as I had hoped for. Overall, worth every penny.Edit*I ordered the Fender vintage set of nobs, back panel, switch cover and trem cover - they match much better and make the whole guitar look a lot nicer.

Sound nasally and not like strats
Don’t sound like classic strat single coil sounds. Kinda nasal, not quacky at the bridge, not that “hollow” sound at the neck.Build quality seems good. They sound very rich wired in series. I actually really like the series sound. Just not the single pickup tone. This is my second set of Wilkinson pickups and both sets have that nasal sound. Humbuckers and now these. I guess they’re just not my jam.
