Business Vocabulary in Use: Elementary to Pre-intermediate with Answers and CD-ROM Paperback – 11 Nov. 2010

Very useful for adult elementary/false beginners who are fast learners or on a 1:1 intensive course (can't advise on its use for class teaching). Vocabulary is the main point of the book, but each section is closely linked to a grammar point. The unit which describes the production of coffee from farm to supermarket, is linked to part participles and pronunciation of the 'ed' endings, and also includes sequencing vocabulary which is useful for writing reports. I like the logical layout, but would definitely use additional materials to teach the grammar.The vocabulary in the later units is challenging for the student, but that is clearly the learning point of the book. I found the email units rather limiting and think these could have been extended to include a wider range of common expressions and abbreviations (FAO, FYI...). The gap-fill email activities were the only small part of the book that I couldn't like.Although technology has moved on, this book is still current enough to use with students in 2015.

Nice book for pre-intermediate level. Each unit introduces the student to useful vocab, and repeats it enough for the student to assimilate it quite quickly.

A very useful resource for teaching/learning Business vocabulary.
