Sooooo easy to put together. The dimmer toggle is on the side super easy to slip behind any kind of furniture you have and just pull it out and turn them on. They are simple and beautiful. Add a lovely feature to my foyer.

Nice, heavy lamps, considering that they are tall and skinny. The dimmer dial is approx. 21 inches from the base, which makes it inconvenient to get to, (If you have the cord tucked away) , but I missed that when I purchased it, so that is my fault, but I still love the lamps. They were packaged meticulously , and arrived perfect.

Both lamps are a distressed ivory and full of French romantic charm! The soft hue complements any decor, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. This is my second time purchasing these. The first time was a disaster and Amazon won't allow me to write about it. These arrived with bent sockets that I was able to self repair, which is surprising because they were packed very well.I like how the shades assemble. It was actually fun.I wish the lamps were shorter but I knew the dimensions and was prepared.I thought the bulbs were the standard bulb size but they're smaller. The illumination is acceptable and despite being LED, the bulbs have a nice warm incandescent like glow. That said, I wish the shades were a little less dense to allow more light through but it's not a show stopper.The lamps appear to be a heavy plastic resin but look the part. Metal or real wood would've been nicer but also probably more expensive. The color is good and the faux aged look is quite nice.The cord length is good though personally I would've preferred black colored cords instead of shiny transparent and bright white switches.My biggest complaint is the lack of a detent on the switches. These are a set of 2, and if you have them on a sideboard as I do, you want them both to be set to the same level. This is not so easy with the rotary switches. A center detent at 50% level would've been a nice reference point. I don't understand why they didn't include this. They actually promote the fact that there's no detent. It's nice that they're adjustable but it makes no sense to me to not have at least one detent. One of the switches has a lot more resistance than the other. They should be the same.My only other concern is that they don't have UL or ETL certification. This isn't required in the US but it would've made me feel warm and fuzzy.
