Q: How does it taste? Is it a good substitute for dairy half and half?

I have tried everything under the sun for dairy half and half. I thought this product would be better than everything else I tried but it's not. I don't care for the taste of texture. It clumps up after adding to my coffee. I also tried scooping some in a small bowl and adding a little cashew milk to make a paste first and that didn't work well. This morning I put cashew milk in the blender, added this stuff, added a tiny bit of agar agar and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Blender until smooth and heated it up in a pan. All to no avail. I give up trying to find a 1/2 and 1/2 substitute. I will learn to like black coffee.

Laird only combines the ingredients they get from outside vendors. As such FDA doesn’t require they provide a complete list of their vendor’s ingredients. Only the primary ingredients they use. Therefore, it most likely contains maltodextrin used in powdered coconut creams which dramatically spikes blood sugar. Look up powdered coconut cream powdered coconut oil and you can get a sense of exactly what’s in this.

Q: Is there really palm oil in this?

It is Red Palm Oil. Not palm kernel oil. A quick google search will reveal the health benefits of red palm oil. You can then make up your mind about whether you wish to try this Laird product.
