YETIRambler French Press Coffee Maker, with GroundsControl Filter

I was very wary of purchasing this press given the price, but wanted a good press for a vacation to Idaho/Montana. Looking for something that could take some punishment, produce great coffee, and keep the coffee warm between cups. I reviewed several others and decided on this one since I’ve had great experiences with other Yeti products.For being durable- this press is a tough as it gets. I figure this item is going to be passed down a few generations. The Yeti site says it is incredibly tough and they were not lying.The drawback here though is the weight. We flew on our vacation, to so this had an impact. FYI- this will trigger a look by TSA going through pre-check.The coffee? - consistent with other presses that I have use in the past. Except the big plus here was the GroundsControl feature which worked great.This press will keep your coffee warm. The picture on the review are two photos taken 25 minutes apart with hardly any movement on temperature. (I used my Keurig to produce the hot water so it is a little low) I have used this about twenty times now and the “keeping it warm” results are consistent.Ultimately, I think it is a great value and it is easy to clean.

Size is perfect, great quality of course because it’s a Yeti😆 easy to clean and perfect to share some coffee with others

I've been making almost exclusively French press coffee for many years. We have different brands and different sizes. But when I saw the Yeti I thought I'd give it a try. It is so much better than traditional French presses. First of all the weight of it gives it a heft that makes it much more stable on the countertop. It also has a rubber ring on the bottom that keeps it from moving around. Traditional French presses are very fragile and easy to tip over and break. The other thing that's amazing is that it is insulated. So after you press the coffee you can leave it in the container and it will stay warm for a long time. This thing was worth every penny. Highly recommend it.

Great French press. Retains heat fairly well and the build quality is top notch. Additionally, the metal filter on the press works great and minimizes silt.However, the pour spout retains liquid after pouring and drips down the side of the press and on the surface it’s sitting on. Hence the 4 stars. For this price point, it should be perfect but it has a simple design flaw. That aspect is rather disappointing.

I consider myself a bit of a coffee snob. Of all the ways I've made coffee including poor overs, fancy electric drip coffee makers, various K cup brands and makers, and even old fashioned percolator. This Yeti branded French Press makes the most satisfying cup of coffee. And I made my best tasting cup the first brew by using two even1/3 cup scoops of coffee (I bought the smaller 32oz French Press), and brew it at 4 1/2 minutes before I depress the plunger. The smaller 32oz French Press is perfect for two people, or one if you're using a large 35oz Yeti rambler like I do (which leaves room for creamer and or half n half). All Items in the set are dishwasher safe for cleaning. But I would recommend hand washing the plunger / filter section of the press to preserve the silicone seal. I'm happy with the purchase and would buy again. It may be a premium price, but it's also a premium product!

At last! A French Press that actually keeps your coffee hot, and no bitter dregs in your cup!

I love my coffee through a French press. What I don't like is that most of them are made of glass and end up getting broken. This one is solid, like you would expect from a Yeti product. The screen is easy to clean since you can unscrew it from the plunger. I get very few coffee grounds in my coffee, not that I mind that too much, but some people do. The rubber seal is very effective at keeping the grounds out of your drink.

Like:Heavy duty engineering. Nice fit and finishDislike:Very difficult to push plunger all the way to the bottom. Goes easy for about a third of the way and then takes a lot of effort.Very difficult to remove plunger for cleaning. The filter forms such a strong suction at the bottom that it is almost impossible to pull up.The heat retention is oversold. The pouring hole lets heat out. Needs a stopper of some description.I have used the product for about a week thinking maybe it just needed to break in a bit. But I have run out of patience with the product.
