Absolutely love! Great flavor and strong so a little goes a long way.

If you want to make Japanese curries, but the roux blocks have a bit too much salt or something else you're not supposed to have, this is a great option. I end up with the same flavor and I can adjust where I need to.

This curry powder tastes amazing, smells incredible, and isn't spicy hot. I buy this for myself and have gifted cans to others who ALSO love it. Perfection.

I received the all red can, not the red and yellow can. S&B seems to have changed the can slightly, but the ingredients are identical. This is the classic S&B Japanese Curry powder.Warning - you can NOT just dump this in a pot and get classic Japanese curry. Many (most?) Japanese curries are made with roux, a flour based paste made with this curry powder. If you want classic Japanese curry, find a recipe to make the roux using this powder.This curry is one of my favorite curry powders ever. It has the right mix of spicy (slightly spicy) and aromatics. It tends to have more depth than Indian and similar curries, as it is a more complex mixture. It is specifically made for that classic Japanese curry taste. it is excellent. Five Stars!

Lots!It's one of my families favorite meals. I've made Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Golden and Thai curries. Green, Red, Yellow, Brown - pastes and powder, bricks. The favorite hands down is this yellow-based powdered curry by S&B. It's so perfectly balanced that it's not going to blast you with one dominant spice like garam masala or cumin. It's just a delicious harmonious blend of warm spices that make you say, "WOW, this is really good curry! I've tried so many different types because I'm always experimenting. But I'm finally going to stick with this brand because it's consistent, delicious and the one my family loves the most. Bottom line it's taste is unsurpassed.Everyone's palate is different and not all will agree and that's okay. I'm pretty picky and S&B is the winner in my opinion.I sauté thinly sliced chicken in coconut oil with some curry powder, fresh garlic, onion & red chili pods for heat. I add sliced carrots & potatoes and pour chicken broth, coconut milk, more curry powder and turmeric for even more vibrant yellow color. Bring to boil and simmer 10 minutes or until veggies soften. Serve over hot Japanese rice. I like Japanese curry powder.. I find it to be sweeter and less harsh than an Indian curry powder. S&B is a good brand.
