You can switch them. I have the larger on the right side.

Q: There was a black piece of plastic at the bottom of the bin. What is it?

This is probably your chance to send the bin back. Mine broke after 4 weeks, right after the day of the return period. Very poor quality.

19.4 WITH LID CLOSED. AND 28.4 WITH THE LID OPEN.
