The most beautiful but heartbreaking story 🥹
This book is ♾️ stars!!!!Wow. Wow. Wow. This book. This has 10000% become my newest obsession! It was so good to be back in runaway ranch and now that I’ve finished I’m so sad, I loved seeing our other couples and I loved getting to know Ford and Reese 😭 It was a very emotional read - it kept me hooked but also experiencing heartbreak on the side. It was so worth the tears 🥹 Ava’s writing is something else, her writing is so beautiful and it’s such an honour to be able to read it 🤍Reese’s story has got to be one of the most beautiful but heartbreaking stories I’ve ever read. She was definitely ’free Britney’ inspired. From the very start I adored her character, she had experienced so much trauma in her life. But seeing her overcome her fears, her struggles - it was truly was so heartwarming to see her get that love and support by the end. Reese is a complex character but that’s what made it so powerful and gripping. I cried when she finally was heard and seen - when she finally got the help she needed after so long. Her character was so unbelievable strong. One of my favourite things from this book is 100% the girl gang. The unit she had around her had me in awe. It was so special to see!Ford. This man. This man is my favourite Montgomery brother (sorry Davis👀) the way Ford manifested his dream woman!!! On my knees for this man. He deserves the world and more. I loved getting to understand him more and understanding his character. He was also a complex character and Ava knew what she was doing 😭 He is a man obsessed and would do anything for the people around him. Despite everything he’d also been through, he made sure to look out for those around him!!! I fell in love with him from the start, he is the perfect MMC for Reese. His caring nature for his loved ones made me swoon, he is just THE perfect character - his flaws and all. I adored him and Reese SO MUCH 🥹I’m in complete awe by this book! Pretty sure I highlighted every other line because I’m utterly obsessed 🫶🏼 It’s such an emotional rollercoaster with everything that happens but Ava knows break your heart and then heal it so beautifully 😭 the ending made me feel so at peace. What I will say is …. THE TWISTS IN THIS BOOK! I was on the edge of my seat, I was not putting it down oh my!!! I cannot wait to read book 4 and to see the relationships established in this book, continue to grow! The characters development in this one was EVERYTHING! And all I’m saying is chapter 42 iykyk 😭😭😭 Ford was such a softie and nothing could’ve prepared me for this one but it was the ride of my life 🤍 Everything he did to protect her had me sobbing!!!!!!! Reese was so raw and the mental health rep felt relatable in a way, it truly touched my heart. Reese is a unique person and I love that she overcame it all. Did I cry myself to sleep after finishing this!? absolutely I did - it was so worth it. I stayed up until 3am because I was hooked! Each scene hit. And I’m so grateful to have read their story! Her manager still makes me wanna vom - I’m his number 1 hater 😤What to expect -🩷 age gap (26/37)🩷 cowboys protector MMC🩷 found family🩷 heroine in hiding🩷 romantic suspense🩷 mental health rep🩷 city girl x country boy🩷 "free Britney" inspired🖤 please check TW’s!

Loved this book! This series is so good!!
Ava writes a romantic suspense so well. I get so drawn in!Ford is so grumpy, but then he goes all gooey over his cat, Mouse! He falls first and pretty hard! Ford really had me swooning with the way he was with Reese!Reese has been through so much in her life/career, and she finally finds somewhere she feels free and someone who loves her, like actually loves her, she finds a family!I was fully ready to riot if something happened to Mouse, though. That was not okay!I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Arc review 🥰
Thank you so much for the arc of this book 🥰this book has my heart ford and Reese have my heart ❤️. I am a Reese protector until I die that girl deserves the world. This book has everything from romance to learning to love and find who you are. This book is more darker than the other stories but Reese comes out so brave. I loved watching her and ford learn to navigate life and love and learn it’s okay to not know where you want to go in life. One of my favourite things in books is found family and when that hit in this🥰👏 family dinners, supporting each others it’s amazing.

Get ready for a wild ride full of romance, tension and hot cowboys.
"Whatever happened in the past shouldn’t stop you from making plans in the future.” - Ford MontgomeryIt's safe to say..... Ford Montgomery is now my favourite Montgomery brother!Oh my days this book was insane, I still can't get over how much I enjoyed it, I just want to go back and reread it all over again. After reading 4 Ava Hunter books one thing I can guarantee when starting a new Ava book is that I am going to be taken on a roller coaster. And so I expected exactly that when starting Burn The Wild, and yet somehow I still wasn't fully prepared for the content of this book. From page one you get the feeling of unpredictability and realise that no matter what theories or suspicions you have they're inevitably going to be wrong. Because, somehow, Ava has written an intense, emotion-packed story that you can't put down.I loved the premise behind this story when I first read the blurb and seeing how Ava brought it to life was amazing. She took an event (a very public one) and gave it a twist of her own making it unique, as she always does, and in doing so took the reader on this incredible adventure.I found myself getting giddy at scenes with the Montgomery family, crying when Reese and Ford began to open up and trust each other with their issues, getting scared when things started to go wrong and then squealing at the hot Cowboys coming to save the day.Reese and Ford's story has been worth the hype. We've heard a bit about Reese in the epilogues of Tame the Heart and Rope the Moon so finally reading her story and seeing her strength was nice. She's struggling a lot when the book first starts, but as the book goes on we get to see her build an incredible life for herself, fall in love with Ford and grow friendships with Ruby, Dakota and the rest of The Montgomery family. She's had a rocky past, and has spent years of her life being locked up in a cage someone built for her, so seeing her spending time on Runaway Ranch, opening up to Ford and his family, watching as she slowly breaks free from her cage, you can't help but cheer her on.We've seen Ford in previous books but we didn't get to know him very well. He always seemed like an obnoxious older brother, but in this book, we find out things about him and what he's been through. Suddenly you see Ford in this whole new light and you get a sense of respect for how strong he's being for his family. He's put his life on hold to help keep his growing family safe.Their romance was wonderful to read about. It has a sense of Enemies to Lovers, but I don't think they ever truly hated each other. Reading about them bonding and healing from their brutal pasts together, finding strength in each other and realising they would do anything to keep the other safe. One thing about Ava is she knows how to write a cowboy you will instantly love. No matter what they've done in the past.I think my favourite character was Mouse, Ford's cat that Ruby gave him in the previous book. I think Mouse is responsible for getting Reese and Ford together.I loved getting to see more of Charlie and Ruby (Runaway Ranch 1) and Davis and Dakota (Runaway Ranch 2) in this book. Seeing what they're up to is always fun, I liked this book because we saw that while they are all still together and doing well, both those couples were facing challenges.Ruby's desire to be a mother and Charlie's sorrow at not being able to help her. Davis and Dakota are parents to a toddler whilst preparing to open a bakery in their local town.We also got a bit more Wyatt and Fallon (Runaway Ranch 4) as always they were butting heads, and I'm looking forward to (hopefully) seeing them finally get together in the next book.Ava's storytelling is so wonderful and I truly adore her writing style. She has a way of dragging her readers into her books and holding on till the end. When you get to the end of the book you find yourself wanting to go back and reread the whole thing again.Similarly the previous book, Burn the Wild has some pretty heavy topics in it, however this is definitely one of the darker books Ava has written. (Please make sure you read trigger warnings which I've included at the bottom of this review) just so you are comfortable whilst reading.Overall I really enjoyed reading Reese and Ford's story. And I'm egerly awaiting Wyatt and Fallons book. Which (Sadly) will be the end of the Runaway Ranch series.Spice Rating:🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️!Trigger Warnings!Explicit languageIncarcerationAbandonmentLoss of a parent (off page)Narcissistic parentDomestic abuse (off page)DrugsDrinkingKidnappingPregnancyMental HeathPTSDEating Disord
