When my Brother printer ran out of ink a while ago, I chose to go with a generic ink because of the price difference between it and the OEM Brother brand of ink. While I saved a little money then, I noticed immediately that the Black was not as dark and I was unable to see how many printed sheets the cartridges were estimated to have left. However, the main problem arose a couple of months later when the Black ink jet wound up getting clogged. I purchased a printer jet cleaner kit, and, after many failed attempts to clean the printer head over the course of a week I finally had to give up and had to buy a new printer.This OEM cartridge works exactly how you would expect. The print quality is excellent, I can see how many estimated printed sheets I have left and I have had no problems with clogging in any way.I know others have had success using generic ink cartridges and I may have been among few who had a problem. Still, I think I'll stick to the OEM cartridges going forward.

Genuine Brother ink cartridges will give you the best performance and print quality in your Brother printer. These are easy to replace, have a long life as long as you do not have to run the cleaning function too often, and are designed to use every drop of ink.

New in package worked perfectly

This is a factory ink cartridge. I got tired of paying a fortune for HP cartridges that don't last long. I looked at a number of brands including that used refillable ink tanks. Finally, mainly due to price and quality, I bought a Brother that is not ink tank but has large cartridges, lots more ink and not much higher $ than lower capacity HP ink cartridges. Not photo capable but more than adequate for normal pictures and charts. I liked it so much I bought another for my house. Large ink savings.I have no experience with the ones you fill from a bottle like some other brands have now.

I was using after-market ink cartridges in my Brother All-in-One inkjet printer MFC-J998DW. Although after-market ink cartridges worked, the print quality was really poor. I finally spent the big bucks and bought original Brother ink cartridges because they last well over a year or two. The saying "it costs more to save more" is so true. The amount of money I spent on after-market cartridges ended up costing me more than the original brand. Push the "add to cart" button. Its worth the extra money.

These cartridges worked perfectly with my Brother MFC-J805DW.Whereas other third-party cartridges I purchased did not work. I tried two other sellers that had cartridges they claimed were compatible with my printer in their listing. THEY WERE NOT.. They were much cheaper, like 1/3 the price, but the old saying still goes " You get what you pay for"
