The kit is pretty well done and complete. It has several interesting projects and the instruction books contain a lot of background and information.I wish the box would have been more clear that it required a AA battery as this was a gift. (I found that out in advance from other reviews.)A minor criticism is that while the books are really informative, they are at times pretty text dense for the target age group. It's fine with some parental help. Again, this is a super minor thing. I'd totally buy this again.

Upon receiving the kit I noticed a few things right away—the print and diagrams were really small and hard to read. Many of the materials needed for each experiment were not provided. The first few experiments we had hoped to try couldn’t be done because we didn’t have everything on hand. We were pretty disappointed at first. With that being said, the experiments we did try worked great. And they kept us interested and were fun. The explanations about the science behind how/why they worked were pretty informative. We will definitely be stocking up for the rest of the activities. My guys are pretty eager to try a few more!

My 8 year old son wants to be a scientist when he grows up and this kit has so many things that he is able to learn and try out for himself! The books that come with this kit not only give directions, but it also explains why and how the results happen. You do need to use some of your own household supplies, like batteries, scissors, yarn, etc, however there are plenty of things to try if you don’t happen to have something available at that moment! My son loves this kit! It was fun for the whole family and we still have so many more of the “experiments” to try!!

This kit is so fun to do with kids . My 11 yr old daughter enjoyed doing them all with her siblings ages 5 and 8 and was able to complete most without much help. They learned a bunch of things and it helped teach them to follow instructions. Each experiment had most items needed but did require us to find other items not included. Most we had around the house though. The favorite one was electric circuits , they had a blast with it. My daughter is also very much interested in history and she loved the facts about samual morris , it invited a lesson on him . Overall great price for all thats offered and comes in a sturdy box to store everything in when not in use.

This product is a great idea, and a great way for kids to learn about science through experimentation. My issue with it is that there are a lot of materials that you are expected to provide, and we had to skip through a majority of the experiments because we didn't have those extra supplies. Some of the photos in the instruction were also a bit small and hard to follow.

I bought this as my daughters school is currently closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak across the world. I have been trying to think of different ways to make her school work she is continuing to do a little more fun than just normal studying. We had an interactive (by way of cutting out and sticking pieces down) science book but still required writing and research. This set has now brought the theory to life. When it arrived she even squealed and loved unboxing it all. She has only done a couple of the experiments so far as trying to stretch them out over the next few weeks. Cant wait to see what she learns, as she actually wants to do this. Highly recommend to those parents and kids stuck at home the next few weeks/months.

We have not tried the experiments yet...we are saving them for homeschool this year. But I've looked at the items and reviewed the instruction books, and I feel they are well done and sturdy enough for this age range and purpose. I wish the books/printing were a bit larger, as it's difficult for me to read! I like how things are explained and feel they give a good, simple background on the science involved.

This was a great Christmas gift for our 13 year-old Grandson who is very interested in Science, and loves learning about electricity and designing inventions. He was very excited to get this present and will have Grandpa, Dad and even Mom assisting as needed. Since I, Grandma, am in charge of the finances this time of year, I really appreciate the great price on this exceptional product!
