Effective for Outdoor Ant Control
This product was effective for controlling ants in my yard and driveway. Everything else I tried lasted a week. This lasted about three weeks which I was hoping for longer. I like the fact that the granules are like sand. Some of the other products are a lot bigger granules. I couldn't detect any kind of odor and it says on the bag that rain doesn't affect it and actually recommend if it's not doesn't rain a few days to wet it down with a hose. Overall and pleased with it I don't mind going back after three weeks and reapplying.

Economical Pest Control!
I am familiar with granular pyrethroid insecticides, in my work as a pest control technician we used this product to control various insects near the lawn and outside the perimeter of the home. It is very economical and a little goes a long way in treating on the exterior of any lawn, garden or portion of the yard that requires extra help when dealing with different bugs such as fleas, ticks and ants!

Great for Earwig and Springtail Infestations
I moved into a new home and was unpleasantly surprised by an EARWIG (AKA “PINCHER BUG”) infestation just outside my front door. These suckers managed to somehow work their way inside of the home as well. I was literally killing at least 10 of these things in the house each day, it was so disgusting. We tried having an exterminator come out to take care of them, TWICE! This did absolutely nothing for the infestation. I’m a Googler (is that a word? It just means I resort to Google when I have questions in order to find solid answers) and I discovered the Bifen Granules. I decided, what the heck, I’ll give it a try. Then, when the item arrived (it was super heavy), there were all sorts of warnings on the bag, I was almost afraid to open it. It took me a good week of killing more earwigs before I brought myself to open the bag. I put on my sweat pants, rain boots, a flu mask (lol), some rubber cleaning gloves (us moms improvise), and I hand spread these granules outside my door and around the entire perimeter of the house. The granules look like sand, I was happy I was able to tell where I had thrown some and which areas needed application. I then used the water hose to wet the granules and let them run their course. I have not seen any earwigs in the home (not ONE) since the granules were applied. I am absolutely AMAZED!!! I cannot recommend this product enough for earwigs (and ants, and springtails!). I can finally come home and walk on my wood floors without having my tennis shoes on. :-)

Looks like a Winner
Tried everything else for fire ants over the years. Decided to give this a try, poured about 1/4 cup on over 30 fire ant hills then poured 1 quart water on hill , next morning checked hills no sign of ants. Just ordered 4 bags more will be spreading on lawn with hand spreader just before a rain.If it don't clear the yard of ants I will update review after spreadingUpdate on June 4th spread 1 bag 25 pounds with Solo hand seed spreader. 3 different areas of the yard where fire ant hills were always present especially along a hog wire fence, where they always built hills. These 3 areas were a total of Apx. 10,800 Sq, Ft., so I put down about 2 an 1/4 pound per 1000 Sq. Ft. As of today August 13th ( not one fire ant hill in these areas ) and we have plenty of fire ant hills in the other parts of the yard ! Will be doing another large section of the yard now by putting down 2 more bags for another test ? So far I am amazed, been fighting fire ants for 15 years ! By the way on my seeder I opened the flow about 1/3 inch wide, was just guessing worked out ok. Will update if fire ants come back
