The head is a cylinder for planning purposes, though it also tapers before joining the shaft. (Product pictures don't show that sheath. The sheath reduces the chance of the magnet's side sticking to something, but it weakens overall grip.) 1/2" diameter of magnet 9/16" diameter of head at widest point 3/4" diameter of sheath 3/8" height from magnet gripping face tip to where the head diameter starts decreasing 1/2" height of sheath

will this it fit through a 1/2 inch copper water pipe??

The magnet tip needs around a 5/8 hole or larger so yes it should fit thru the 1/2 copper water pipe.
