Perfect as a second/spare phone!
I still have three of my/my family's old Nokia 3310's and they are still in good condition and going strong. However, I wanted to try this new updated version and I am not disappointed. It is still the basic old phone I loved but with a few modern features added to it WITHOUT turning it into an all bells and whistles phone. I think the addition of a BASIC camera/video recorder is a good one being only 2mp. The internet is a slow 2G like the WAP which the 3330 had (3310 with the addition of internet). Yes it is basic and very understated but that was the idea of it, it was never intended to replace our smartphones. I have an iPhone 6s Plus as my main phone and this Nokia 3310 works nicely as a spare alongside that.If you are thinking of buying this phone for playing Snake, please bear in my mind that the game has been modernised. I quite like it but if you miss the old snake game I have found it on the App Store for IOS (not sure about Android's Play store)...it's called 'Snake '97' and it is pretty much exactly like the old favourite. You can even go into settings and choose which virtual Nokia you want to play it on and it will appear on screen as that exact same phone with buttons and everything. But give the new Snake a try also, it's a nice update for this new 3310.It is nice to use a phone with physical buttons again and for me this does not seem too strange as I have my old large size sim from a different network (had that same sim card for 16 years) in another candy bar phone, so I'm used to actual buttons on a keypad. This is a lovely looking and perfect sized phone that is a slightly different size and shape of the original but is still instantly recognisable and I am so pleased I got it. I have the yellow one and it is stunning.I was fortunate enough to have preordered this phone two months before it's release so I got it at the reasonable price of £49, a bit different to the extortionate ridiculous prices that greedy third party sellers are now asking for it.

Classic Design with Basic Features
This is a basic classic mobile phone so don't expect more features however with the price tag £50 it should have more memory space ie 2 GB at least so that we can store more ringtones and few photos. It's battery life is still on testing phase for me but it is nightmare to open the battery cover. I used screw driver to open it and slightly damaged it. No good as Samsung B2710 (basic phone) but better screen and looks classic. The worst feature is its phone locking function which is unlocked itself in your pocket by pressing 'unlock button' accidentally. It should not be unlocked accidentally otherwise what's the point of lock??

A pleasant surprise
Now... this phone does not feel like the old 3310. It does not work like one and if you are expecting a feeling of "Oh it's just like the old one!" you will be disappointed. What you are getting though is a fresh and lite take on an old classic! If you are old enough to remember small mobile phones or you never had a smaller phone than 5inch, you will feel refreshed! It's small, slim, comfortable to hold and feels like something that belongs in your hand. I heard people say: looks like a you! Well... and? It's completely a class of its own. It's a good looking phone. The color is more orange than red, didn't see the others live so won't be able to say if blue is blue or yellow is yellow. I like the color - looks fresh and has this "zing" to it. Built quality is satisfying, let's not cheat ourselves - it's plastic:) but good plastic. Seems durable. Screen quality is acceptable, you will see things you need to see. It has a camera... and yeah, that's it about the camera^^ If you have large hands, the phone will get lost in them and you will have difficulties using the t9 style keyboard then again, if you buy it to answer phone calls or you have "artist hands" this will not be an issue. It is loud but do not expect crisp sound quality when listening to music with the speaker that is built in. That is it... It is a phone. A good quality device from Nokia. Want to give it to you kid? Perfect. Want to give it to an older person? Go for it. Want to disconnect yourself from the basics of having a battery draining, time eating YouTube and Social Media machines that try to take over the world? Hell Yes! It is a good, basic feature phone that will make you stand out. I bought it because I have a soft spot for those quirky things and I was positively surprised. What's in the box? Phone, battery, headphones and a charger. See? Basics. Oh... I do not know yet how long the battery holds because it did not die yet. Anyway - recommended for people that want something different, a different experience, or for people that want to stand out with a simple thing. Remember - buy from Amazon, not to get a fake device:)

Let's text like it is the year 2000
The hype for Snake, T9 texts and sleek design has turned the 3310’s relaunch into a big event for me. But 2G connectivity and a rubbish camera bring you back to earth which is absolutely fine by me, I am nostalgic for the original 3310 after all. The “new” Nokia 3310 is more like a homage to the original than a straight-up remake. It looks vaguely like the original, thanks to its blue and grey colour scheme, oval buttons and Nokia logo. But the screen – now a 2.4in QVGA colour beast – and the body are vastly improved, at least within the realms of a “candybar” feature phone that would be at home in the year 2024.The back comes off to expose the removable battery, micro-sim and microSD card slot – here you’ll need the older, slightly larger sim card size, not the modern nano-sim, or at least an adapter. The front is fixed, so pick your colour wisely, blue and grey is perfect for me. In the top there’s a microUSB slot for power, which means no more tiny pin Nokia charger, and the bottom has something even Apple’s iPhone can’t boast: a headphone jack.To sum up, this phone is great for basic phone functions, a bit pricey though, and I will try to update this post with the battery life when it dies
