good quality
since i'm quite sensitive to smells, i thought i could smell or taste a faint hint of raw turmeric during the 1st 2/3 uses but i didn't feel that way afterwards, could be that i got used to it or it was just me thinking i smelled it . i love this paste.now i can just add it in my noodles ,soup, curry or other food items without having to spend extra money on the Tom Yum flavoured ones. i think the sourness is also not weak, i normally add one 1 or 2 teaspoonfull ( depending on my preferences atm) in a pack of noodles.its a good buy for me, serves the purpose i bought it for

Very mild, not satisfactory
Very mild, not spicy and not powerful enoughfor me. I used this to make noodle soup, by roasting the paste in coconut oil with chopped dried shiitake for 1-2min, adding water, bringing to boil and adding little bit of dry rice noodles (HOW HOW rice sticks 3mm). Once noodles are al dente, add chopped coriander roots and hard stalk (sometimes i add julienned carrot also for crunch), take out from stove, add COCO MAMA coconut milk to taste (i add 80-100ml), mix and dish out into a bowl. Add more chopped parsley and dried wakame (optional). For 1 person, I had to use 3 tablespoons of the paste and add salt and chillies. The paste is so mild that you can smear it on bread and eat. But its not powerful enough for soup imho. I won't be buying this again. When I used another product - Thai Red Curry Paste - of the same brand, the taste is much more powerful, 1-1.5 teaspoon is enough and no additional salt needed. I prefer this option. Price is similar.

You need the Right Ingredients
The Soup in the can is okay, just add more Lemongrass to give the aroma that's the key ingredient in Tomyam soup.
