Pleasantly Surprised and Ready for Italy!
The media could not be loaded. We are planning a trip to Italy where it’s known you’re on and off trains and public transport often. We will also definitely have connecting flights to get there. My old/current travel stroller (details at the end if interested) would make our lives not as enjoyable for this trip to come, so I decided to go back to researching travel strollers after a year with the Harppa I have been using for air travel. I’ve heard on and on about the YoYo, but also saw this stroller mentioned on some travel blogs. After a deep dive on travel blogs, tons of reviews and videos, I decided to get the YoYo and the Joolz to try in person. Shockingly, I HATED the YoYo. Maybe the one I got was defective, but the one handed close was a 12 minute struggle to get closed with two hands and on my knees. You have to bend down and reach under the seat to collapse it and it was not easy. Plus it came unassembled. The instructions were pictures only, hard to understand, and the seat cushioning along with the overall aesthetic did not compare to the Joolz.I am already in LOVE with the Joolz. When I did travel roller research a year ago before settling with the Harppa, I had tested 7 or 8 different lower priced travel strollers (~$100-$200 range). I have not encountered a seat cushion so dense and comfortable. I want to sit in it! I also much prefer this zip feature over the pull straps for the recline, that’s just my preference though. The sun cover extends an amazing length so I am hopeful for on-the-town naps. The thing I like the most is I can actually close it with one hand and the elastic shoulder strap is genius. I use a Tushbaby when I travel with my son so he is on my hip almost the entire time until we are on the plane. With the old stroller, I would have to put him down and try to keep him from crawling away (airport floors surely aren’t the most sanitary either) while I tried to get it in a bag to gate check it. With this Joolz, I won’t have to put him down nor will I need to gate check it so it will be a big plus and convenience going forward. An antsy toddler after a flight and waiting for a gate checked bag/stroller… will be nice to avoid it! It does come with a bag that I will bring just incase we get on a smaller plane that will require it to be gate checked.Every parent traveler will have their own priorities so that’s why there are different stroller variations to appease the different needs. The things that were most important to me were to fit in the plane overhead, ease to carry (while holding a toddler & diaper bag simultaneously) and the comfort for on-the-go naps. This stroller surpassed the YoYo and the other 8 lower price point options I formerly tested by far. I only wish that for the price point, it came with a rain cover and a foot rest.Regarding my old travel stroller, I did extensive research on travel strollers a year ago, but only needed something for quick direct flights for work trips that didn’t consist of much long hours of strolling or compact needs. I ended up getting a cheaper Harppa stroller that still works great and was very functional for my then needs. The downfalls is it isn’t small enough for a plane overhead bin so I have to gate check it and put it in a gate check bag because the side clasp to keep it closed could easily come off and open it. I could just picture the luggage guys trying to figure out how to close it once it accidentally opened it and I didn’t want to chance it. My husband couldn’t figure out how to close it at first and tried to put it in the truck fully open! Another plus of the Joolz is that like how you use the double handle buttons to close it, you do the same to open it. No wide clasps to accidently come off and it open. I usually travel solo with my toddler to my work destination, then we have someone there to watch him while I go to my meetings each day. Well, after an 8 day trip to the northeast, 4 plane rides and driving to 5 different states, the Harappa stroller was less convenient. Not for the car or our daily movements once on the ground, but packing it in the bag and out for connecting flights wasn’t ideal. I would be out of breath and very wore out trying to get it in the bag while keeping by son on my hip or trying to keep him wrangled close by. I made it happen, it just wasn’t fun. The biggest issue now is that my son is so tall (even at 14 months). If I laid the backrest flat he was too tall, his head was squished and to the side. The flat lay is a positive feature that it would go almost 100% flat for naps, but not helpful if you can’t utilize it. So the napping feature that was a positive wasn’t even utilized.

Best foldable carry on stroller
I would love to recommend Joolz to every traveling parent! We bought both yoyo and joolz and returned yoyo. Joolz aer is a combination of light weight, stable, smooth, portable and high quality. We used it for several international flights and carry on was never an issue. The folding and unfolding process is so smooth and that’s the main reason we chose Joolz over yoyo. The only complaint I have is the space under seat is pretty limited for baby bag and because it is light weight you cannot put any heavy things on the handle bar otherwise it will flip. But beside that, everything works perfect and we are really satisfied. This color looks great too!

Review
Great stroller. The only complaint is lack of cup holder for me. 🤣 weight is good. Easy to use. Perfect height and smooth wheels

Better than babyzen and Bugaboo
The stroller is nimble and small but is incredibly sturdy. It fits overhead on every non-regional jet I've been on (777, 737, A320, new and old interiors). Other carry-on travel strollers really look like carry-on travel strollers but the Aer looks much more like a typical small stroller. I love watching people react when I collapse it with one hand. They are always surprised by how easy and clean the collapse is.

Love it
Just back from first trip and this is the stroller for traveling as well as daily use for us. It’s so light, I had no problem picking up my toddler and then collapsing the stroller one handed and loading into cabs and busses. Toddler comfortably took her naps throughout the day as we walked around and the hood provided excellent sun protection. Small opening for under compartment ment we had to hook our (probably overpacked) diaper bag to handle bars which made the stroller easily off balance when child is reclined or removed from seat but that’s the trade for such a light weight stroller and it didn’t impact us often.

It’s fine.
It’s mostly hype and brand bragging. Other moms look at it and compare. It’s not particularly stable, the wheels are not great for uneven sidewalks, the seat is way too short which requires you to buy a leg rest which should obviously be part of it but is instead sold separately, and it’s not any lighter or smaller than the much less expensive ones like Graco etc. It you care about showing up to the playground in style to make other moms jealous, this is for you. If you want to get a decent stroller that folds up small and doesn’t require you to buy a bunch of add-ons, there are better options. This product is fine. I can’t deny that it’s made well and it works within the reasonable parameters you would expect a compact stroller to work. I’m just saying it’s not worth paying double compared to other ones. It seems like the price is only there to screen out poor people so everyone knows how special you are. I got talked into buying it but I’m here to encourage you to either not get talked into it or don’t talk your spouse into it. Save $200 and take the family out to the zoo or something. It will be a much better use of your money.

Great travel and day to day stroller
This stroller is a dream come true. Compact, lightweight, durable. I researched travel strollers for a week before purchasing. I was finally between the Bugaboo Butterfly and this one. I’m very happy with the Joolz Aer+.

BUY THIS
The media could not be loaded. OBSESSED with this stroller. Also have the uppa baby vista but it’s too heavy and hard to transport around. This stroller rides as smooth as the uppa baby and has very similar features but folds with one hand. Very sturdy. Reclines well for a nap. Storage capacity is pretty good but could be better. It folds up small enough to fit in a small car & fits in the airplane overhead. Also love the very long sunshade. Honestly can’t beat being able to fold it with ONE hand. Buy this stroller!
