Can the broom be separated from the dragon or is the dragon permanately affixed?

Dragon is not stuck to the broom.

Are these figurines bendable and detachable

They are detachable. The witch sits and can have her legs straightened to stand. The other figures are not bendable. My 8,5 and two year old have really enjoyed this set. I do worry about taking it to school because the kids can be rough with toys and I’m not sure how durable the broom is.
